Unesa.ac.id. , SURABAYA–The Bachelor of Information Technology Education (PTI) Study Program at Surabaya State University (UNESA) has once again demonstrated its commitment to improving the quality of education, especially for Indonesian teachers and students who are abroad.
This commitment has been realized by holding Community Service (PKM) activities at the Indonesian School in Davao, Philippines which focused on developing computational thinking skills for teachers.
In this activity which started last July, the PKM team consisted of Bambang Sujatmiko, and Ramadhan Cakra Wibawa equip teachers with skills that are relevant to current technological developments.
Computational thinking is the ability to solve problems, design systems, and think logically which is very important in facing challenges in the digital era .
In this training, the participants are invited to learn the basic concepts of computational thinking, such as algorithms, decomposition, pattern recognition, and abstraction.
In addition, participants are also given the opportunity to practice directly applying computational thinking in classroom learning.
"We hope that with this training, teachers can integrate computational thinking into their daily learning. This will be very beneficial for students in developing critical, creative and innovative thinking skills," said Bambang Sujatmiko.
p>This service activity, which is a form of implementation of the tridharma of higher education, not only contributes to improving the quality of education in Indonesia, but also strengthens cooperative relations with educational institutions abroad.[]
