Unesa.ac.id, Surabaya-Department of Management, Faculty of Economics and Business, State University of Surabaya (FEB UNESA) in collaboration with the Management study program, the Faculty of Economics and Business Education, University of Education of Indonesia (FPEB UPI) held an online study of the Merdeka General Learning Campus Merdeka online with the theme "The Post-Pandemic Organization Challenge" on Wednesday (19/5/2021).
This Studium Generale event is the right tool for management students from Unesa and UPI to get to know the challenges faced by various companies during the pandemic period. To discuss this theme, two speakers who are experts in their fields were presented, namely Danu Wiseno, SE., S.IP, MBA as CBC Head-Commercial Banking Center Pekanbaru PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk and Deni Indra Kelana, M.Com as People Development. Manager of PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk.
At this event, attended Dr. Anang Kristyanto, S.Sos, M.Si. as the Dean of FE Unesa and Prof. Dr. H. Eeng Ahmad, MS. As Dean of UPI FPEB. In addition, there is also Dr. Ulil Hartono, S.E., M.Si as Head of Management FE Unesa and Dr. Heny Hendrayati, S.IP., MM. as the head of the UPI FPEB Management Study Program and all Management lecturers and students from both Unesa and UPI.
In his remarks, Ulil Hartono said that this activity was one form of implementing the independent learning program and independent campus. "We are not saying that this activity one hundred percent really reflects student exchange, or more generally there is MBKM, but this is our real manifestation in filling the dynamic void related to MBKM," he said.
Anang Kristyanto as dean of the Faculty of Economics, Unesa said that the collaboration between the Unesa Management Department and the UPI FPEB Management is an important step that must be carried out continuously. "Collaboration is important, preserving and developing collaboration is also much more important," he said.
On this occasion, Danu Wiseno discussed the details of the challenges faced by the banking sector in the financial sector during the pandemic last year to this year. He explained that the banking sector had experienced difficulties in the first and second quarter. However, it rose again in the third and fourth quarters.
Meanwhile, Deni Indra Kelana discussed human resource development during WFH during the pandemic. In addition, he also discussed the development of the mining world in Indonesia and its prospects for the future. The two speakers both showed how the company's survival and adaptation strategies were in the midst of a pandemic and this rapid change, which of course became a reference and initial description for students who were going to undergo an internship program at the company.
