unesa.ac.id.id . SURABAYA - CONFUCIUS INSTITUTE (CI) SURABAYA STATE UNIVERSITY (UNESA) Collaborate with Hang Tuah Surabaya College of Health Sciences held an interactive class of Mandarin. STIKES Hang Tuah students who participated in this class learned Mandarin directly with native speakers from China.
In this class, they practice understanding the pronunciation and intonation of Mandarin directly, as well as honing speaking skills. Native Speaker lecturers not only deliver material, but also encourage students to actively discuss and answer questions.
The class atmosphere becomes more alive, because of direct interaction between students and teachers. For students, learning directly to the original speaker helps them better understand the use of Mandarin in everyday life.
They are also more confident in speaking because they can immediately improve the intonation and sentence structure with the guidance of a native speaker lecturer from China.
Director of CI unesa , Beni Setiawan said, this activity is expected to increase the confidence of students in communicating using Mandarin and familiarizing them with a more natural language structure.
"This activity aims to improve language skills, especially students of students, support communication in the health sector, understand Chinese culture, open up opportunities for study and work, and increase global competitiveness," he said. [*]
