He didnt expect his life line to change 180 degrees. This graduate in economics was initially struggling with the marketing world with a large salary. But as time went by and he started to have a family he felt uncomfortable with his job in marketing. His profession as a teacher began to be pursued in Khadijah High School by becoming an economics teacher. Since becoming a teacher the rhythm of busyness at school as a teacher and at home as a wife and parents for her children has become a daily activity that she enjoys. His life choice is now actually a blessing. He got an advanced study scholarship from the Department of Education of East Java Province at Unesa. Happiness emotion and gratitude appeared on his face when Unesa PR reporter approached him for an interview. His thesis entitled The Effect of Peers and Achievement in Economic Learning on Consumption Behavior of Khadijah Surabaya High School Students was the main topic of the interview at the time. According to his explanation the thesis was motivated by his observations on the consumptive behavior of Surabaya Khadijah High School students who used various modern technological devices while at school. The influence of consumptive behavior that he wants to know whether it affects learning achievement and whether the rampant consumption of consumptive behavior is influenced by peers. Furthermore he said that most of his students brought more than one sophisticated product to school for example one student brought a cellphone gadget and laptop at the same time to school. That makes him more curious about the research topic. His position as a teacher at the school made it easier to complete thesis research. The research also wants to explore information from where students get money to buy modern technology devices. His role as an economics teacher made him feel increasingly responsible for controlling the behavior and patterns of consumption of students. The learning model applied in SMA Khadijah Surabaya indeed mostly uses wifi. When the learning process takes place they are encouraged to search for material from the internet. Therefore students bring laptops gadgets or smartphones to school. However what raises the question is why they have to carry more than one object even though only one object can be used for various purposes. I hypothesize that the influence of peers has a strong influence. I also want to find out how it impacts on their learning achievement he said. After doing research it turns out the results he gets are peers do have an influence on other friends to use a sophisticated technology product. Meanwhile in relation to learning achievement so far it still has a positive impact because the teacher often searches on items brought by students to school and the results are not found files pictures or videos that are not appropriate for a student. His sensitivity in seeing this phenomenon resulted in appreciation from his lecturers. As a result he successfully graduated with the Highest Achievement Index (GPA) at the postgraduate level of S-2 which is 3.90. Alhamdulillah finally after exhausted for two years now blessed. Whereas in the past I often felt stressed by the demands of many lectures and work assignments as a teacher as well as housewife who had to be completed every day. Who is the teacher who gets the blessing from his life choices? She is Lisa Hadija a graduate student in Economic Education. (Ina / Byu)
