Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA - There are not many students like Dhevanny Suci Anindya Putri. The undergraduate student of Indonesian Language and Literature Education, Faculty of Language and Arts (FBS) UNESA won several competitions at once throughout January 2022.
Some of these achievements are 1st place in the National Level Pantun competition organized by Creative Indonesia Berkarya. Then in the Creativity Competition, he won 1st place in the National Photogenic Competition and 2nd place in the National Poetry Writing Competition.
In addition, the 2nd winner of the National Level Drawing competition and 3rd winner of the National Level Poster competition in the same event. "Everything was achieved in January 2022. This cannot be separated from the support of all parents and friends," he explained.
Behind the winners after winners, Dhevanny does routinely look for competition information on social media and then it is recorded and mapped. Competitions that match their passion are a priority, plus ones that don't cost too much. "If there is a free competition why not, but occasionally also buy the book for collection," he said.
After determining the competition to be participated in, Dhevanny looks for ideas that match the theme of the competition, usually the themes taken are light genres, such as love, heartbreak, school world and others. "My ideas usually come up when I'm in the bathroom, I realize them through my work and have a competition," he said.
To make his themes and ideas interesting, he regularly searches for and reads many references, whether it be through general literature, poetry, rhymes, short stories and even novels. "This can increase the vocabulary so that the choice of diction when writing is better and more beautiful," he explained.
One of the poems he produced was "Terakhiri Layar Maya" which tells the atmosphere of entering the first school offline after a long time of online schooling. "When they enter the first offline school, the students look so happy that their serotonin hormone increases," he explained
Dhevanny hopes that in the future he can increase his potential so that he can win national and international competitions. In addition, he also hopes that what he gets can be a motivation for himself and other students to continue to achieve achievements. [UNESA PR]
