Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA–For the umpteenth time, UNESA's Undergraduate Fashion Design Study Program presents hundreds of fashion works born from the hands of talented young fashion designers at the Annual Fashion Show which will be held virtually on Thursday, October 28, 2021. The fashion show premieres on the AFS Unesa YouTube channel. at 18.30 WIB.
Rielia Feby Sasmita, the head of the event committee, stated that this year's fashion show was attended by around 70 fashion designers and presented 210 of their best works. Not only that, there will also be around 140 women's wear and 70 men's wear that will be exhibited in the fashion show.
This fashion show has the theme 'Mareya' which is divided into 10 sub-themes, each representing Madurese culture with its various charms. 'Mareya' is a Madurese language consisting of the words Ma and Areya. Ma is Madura and areya means this. "Mareya means this is Madura," explained Rielie Feby.
Through the demonstration, they wanted to show the identity and diversity of Madurese culture in every motif and fashion model born from a modern touch and local wisdom. "The harmony between modernization and culture, then a beauty is born from the fashion masterpiece in the fashion actor," he said.
The Annual Fashion Show is the 32nd. Usually held offline. Due to the pandemic, in the last two years, activities have been held online. "In this show, we showcase our best creations and ideas in the fashion world," he said.
