Unesa.ac.id. , SURABAYA—The enthusiasm of students and the surrounding community to participate in breaking fast together on campus with the motto "Growing with Character" is quite high. As the day goes on, the queues and the atmosphere get busier.
Because of this, UNESA is increasing the portions of food and takjil, from initially only 1,000 portions to 2,500 portions on Tuesday, March 19 2024 onwards.
UNESA Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M.Kes., or Cak Hasan, while monitoring the location of the distribution of takjil and fasting together (bukber) expressed his joy at being able to share the momentum of togetherness between students and the surrounding community.

With such activities, vibes Ramadan becomes more felt and memorable for everyone. In order to make it more crowded and everyone can get the opportunity to break fast together, the leadership decided to double the portion.
"Initially the portion was only one thousand, but seeing the increasing enthusiasm and getting more and more crowded, we added more "more portions. We are happy with this kind of activity, because it only happens once a year," said Cak Hasan.
To make the atmosphere of breaking the fast together even more exciting and memorable, every day there are also musical performances from students of Sendratasik, Musical Arts, and UKM Music, Faculty of Languages and Arts (FBS).
"With keroncong music and songs presented by fellow students Sendratasik and Music can add to the vibes, so that the fasting becomes more enthusiastic "Hopefully this can be a special story for all of us in the future," said Cak Hasan.
The musical performers during takjil and iftar together from Tuesday, March 19 to Thursday, April 4 2024 are as follows, Keroncong Pandewa Sendratasik, Keroncong Sri Rejeki Sendratasik, Keroncong Cakra Swara, UNESA Symphony Orchestra, Brass Woodwind Ensemble, Electone Sendratasik, and there are bands and dangdut.
