Batu, 5 November 2024 – Surabaya State University (Unesa) has once again demonstrated its commitment to improving the quality of education by holding a workshop entitled "Transformation of Academic Services Towards Education Quality." This event was organized by Unesa's Education, Student Affairs and Alumni division on 4-6 November 2024, at the Onsen Hotel, Batu, Malang.
This workshop presented the main resource person, Dr. Dra. Hj. Umi Dayati, M.Pd., an academic and practitioner who has experience in developing quality education systems. In his presentation, he emphasized the importance of transforming academic services that are responsive to changing times and focus on student needs. "Academic services must continue to be adapted to technological developments and global demands so that Unesa is able to produce graduates who are competent and ready to compete," he said.
Dr. Dra. Hj. Umi Dayati also highlighted the importance of synergy between all elements of education in realizing better academic services. "Support from all components, from lecturers, administrative staff, to students, is very crucial in achieving the vision of quality education proclaimed by Unesa," he added.
This workshop was attended by UNESA Deputy Chancellor I, Director, Head of Sub-Directorate , Head of Section, and educational staff, around field I. During the activity, participants were guided to understand various academic service innovations that can be implemented in the campus environment, including services that are more personal and based on student experience.

It is hoped that this workshop can be the first step for Unesa in creating an academic service system that is more effective, efficient and student-oriented. Unesa's Deputy Chancellor for Education, Student Affairs and Alumni said that this activity was part of Unesa's ongoing efforts to continue to improve the quality of education and students' academic experience.
"In the future, Unesa will continue to hold similar activities aimed at strengthen academic services and improve the quality of education on campus. "This is a concrete manifestation of our commitment to Unesa's vision as a superior and competitive university at national and international levels," he concluded.
With this workshop, Unesa hopes to create an atmosphere of quality education and excellent service, in accordance with the demands of the industrial revolution era 4.0.
