Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA–In order to exchange ideas and experiences, the leadership of the University, Dr. Soetomo (Unitomo) Surabaya visited the State University of Surabaya (UNESA) yesterday (Tuesday, 28 June 2022). The visit led by the Chancellor Dr. Siti Marwiyah, S.H., M.H., was welcomed by UNESA Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M.Kes., and his staff in the Meeting Room, 8th Floor, Rectorate Building, Lidah Wetan Campus, Surabaya.
In his speech, Dr. Siti Marwiyah, S.H., M.H., Chancellor of Unitomo said that the purpose of their visit was to discuss many things with UNESA regarding the implementation of Village Past Learning Recognition (RPL), the MBKM collaboration system, new student admissions, to the collaborative scholarship scheme at UNESA.
In addition, he also wanted to know UNESA's best practice regarding outstanding students. He also said that during this visit, Unitomo wanted to focus on studying the best experiences of UNESA, which are increasingly advanced in the MBKM and RPL fields. "I express my appreciation and gratitude because Unitomo was given the opportunity to explore UNESA's experience," said Siti Marwiyah.
The Chancellor of UNESA, Cak Hasan expressed his pleasure to be able to discuss, share and exchange knowledge and experiences to advance the quality of education in Indonesia. “We have to open up and adapt quickly, whoever can adapt will be the winner. In addition, collaboration," he said.

As one of the efforts to improve human resources in higher education, collaboration must be carried out. In addition, collaboration can strengthen institutions so that they quickly adapt in responding to the needs of the times. "We are trying to improve the quality of each study program, lecturers who have not received a doctorate, encourage them to do doctoral programs, increase research and publications at home and abroad. Students are also prepared to produce innovations to solve problems in society," said Cak Hasan.
Dr. Agus Hariyanto, M.Kes., Deputy Chancellor for Student Affairs and Alumni Affairs UNESA revealed that the "One Step Ahead" campus is committed to increasing achievement by appreciating every achievement that students get, especially at the national and international levels.
Accordingly, students who have national and international achievements can convert their scores for free thesis and other courses. UNESA itself for two years in a row managed to become a champion in IKU 2 related to MBKM and student achievements in the BLU league. "This year UNESA won the IKU PTN BLU League, also winning at IKU-2. This is our motivation to continue to show performance, achievements and quality for the community and the country," he said.
