Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA-The Department of Curriculum and Educational Technology UNESA exhibited various learning media innovations at the Edutech Festival which took place on 5-6 July 2022 at T2 FBS UNESA Building, Lidah Wetan Campus, Surabaya. This activity is intended to introduce majors, curriculum and innovation to students and the general public.
Diaz Reyfandi, the chief executive, stated that this activity was an annual agenda that had been suspended for two years due to the pandemic and started running again this year. He added that there were approximately 70 works that were shown on that occasion. There are photographic works, graphic media, interactive multimedia, audio, and realia media.
They need one week for the process of collecting the work. In addition, they also collaborated to create several modules, including the Graphic Media Practicum for Learning, 3-Dimensional Media Development, Television Program Practicum, and Learning Media Modules, as well as Photography.
In addition to presenting various innovations, there are also several events such as beauty classes, leadership workshops, and art performances. There is also a short film screening room. “These works are the result of college assignments for KTP students. The films produced also have meaning," said Diaz.
One of the films they are working on is "Jagadhita" which tells the story of high school students who spread HOAX news on cyber media using anonymous accounts. There was a friend who managed to find out who the owner of the hoax spreader account was and threatened him to report it to the BK teacher. And the student then apologized and promised to filter the news that would be spread.
"Through this film, the message is the dangers of fake news and the importance of filtering and verifying information," said Diaz.

On one of the display screens, there is an interesting work entitled “Insecure Karya” made by Muafi Fathi Rizki, a student of ID card batch 2020. There are hands around someone with writing on each hand such as; just like this?, crap!, very ordinary!, ugly!, etc. which are descriptions of the words of other people who create limitations in their work.
To the PR team, Muafi conveyed the message that he wanted to convey through his work, “Don't swallow people's comments about our work, use those sentences to continue to produce more and more works. The comments should not be a barrier to not being confident in your own work. Because every art has its own meaning.” [UNESA PR]
