Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA-The implementation of PON XX Papua 2021 gave birth to several new records in the world of Indonesian sports. One of the record-breakers was UNESA Sports Coaching Education (PKO) student Adinda Larasati Dewi. He broke the record in the swimming sport and even more amazingly, he won four gold medals at once for East Java.
The 2020 UNESA PKO student won gold in four match numbers; 1) Aquatic-open water swimming in the women's 10,000 m, 2) swimming in the 100 m women's butterfly, 3) swimming in the women's 800 m freestyle, and 4) swimming in the women's 200 m freestyle. In the 100 m butterfly, Adinda Larasati recorded a time of 1 minute 01.65 seconds. The score made her the fastest female swimmer in that number.
He broke Angel Gabriella's record at the 2016 West Java PON XIX which recorded a time of 1 minute 01.66 seconds. Adinda Larasati's achievement at the Papua PON also exceeded her gain in the previous PON which won three gold medals for East Java. Adinda Larasati is one of the swimmers who are championed by East Java and has won a proud achievement.
6 UNESA Athletes Won Another Medal for East Java
On the 10th day of the PON, six UNESA athletes added six more medals for East Java. The athletes in question are; 1) Dea Salsabila Putri, a PKO student, won gold in swimming in the 3,000m open water swimming. 2) Moch Dimas Permana Taufik, a student of the PKO study program, won silver in the 10,000m men's open water swimming sport. 3) Made Dinda Windiasri from the Communication Sciences study program won gold for the women's team number Badminton.
Then, 4) Muhammad Habib Aulia from the History Education Study Program won the gold medal for the Roller Skate sport with the relay number of 3,000 m. 5) Bayu Prasetyo from the PKO study program won silver in the Dayung-Rowing sport mens number 8+/M8+. 6) Riski Akbar Ramadhan from the Physical Education, Health and Recreation study program won two medals at once, a silver medal in the Rowing-Rowing sport in the mens 2+/M2+ and bronze in the leight mens 4-/LM4-.
UNESA Prepares Awards
With the addition of medals from the best UNESA athletes, East Java is firmly in the second position of the medal standings. Update on October 12, 2021 at 17.49, East Java is still ranked second by collecting 238 medals; 94 gold, 77 silver and 67 bronze. While in the first position is still occupied by West Java with the acquisition of 285 pieces of medals; 106 gold, 86 silver and 93 bronze. While in third place is DKI Jakarta with 241 medals; 86 gold, 70 silver and 85 bronze.
PON is still rolling, standings can change at any time. UNESA Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M.Kes is optimistic that the athletes will give their best so that East Java's target of becoming the overall champion can be realized.
