Unesa.ac.id, LAMONGAN-In order to improve the quality of sports, especially soccer in schools, lecturers of the S-2 Sport Science Study Program, Postgraduate, State University of Surabaya (UNESA) educate Physical Education teachers in Lamongan about how to test soccer kicking techniques for junior high school boys.
The activity, which took place at SMPN 2 Lamongan on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, was attended by 30 participants from various schools. At first, the lecturer team provided the participants with material about the philosophy of Physical Education, Sports and Health. Then also about the soccer technical skill test.
In addition, there is the main material on the shooting technique skill test in soccer for junior high school boys. “We provide teachers with a theory or basic understanding first. This is important, so that participants understand the essence of sport and health itself. Misperceptions of both have an impact on their practice in the field,” said Dr. Achmad Widodo, M.Kes, chief executive.
He added, after the presentation stage, his team invited participants to practice making and developing a shooting technique skill test on goal. “The enthusiasm of the participants was quite extraordinary. The class atmosphere was lively. This can be seen from their activeness in asking questions," he said.
This activity, continued Achmad Widodo, aims to strengthen the ability of teachers to evaluate sports learning objectively. In general, developing sports tests, and in particular providing socialization of one of the soccer test instruments.
According to him, if the sports teacher does not understand how to measure the ability or technique of kicking the ball into the goal, then the evaluation results obtained will not be objective. Understanding and methods of measuring techniques that are less precise will further have an impact on the delay in the development of the quality of the skills possessed by the students themselves.
The activity on the other hand is part of the efforts of UNESA lecturers to improve the quality of sports, especially football in schools. This is also in accordance with the spirit of the presence of the Great National Sports Design (DBON) which aims to cultivate sports in the community and improve national sports achievements.
The former coach of "Persebaya" Surabaya and the East Java PON Football team had the face that, with the provisions they provided, sports teachers at schools, especially the Lamongan Junior High School, could test their shooting skills properly and correctly so that there would be an increase in the quality of football there.
