SURABAYA-One of the objectives of the Independent Campus Independent Learning Policy (MBKM) is to create a comfortable, fun and meaningful learning and learning atmosphere. However, in the field, such a learning atmosphere has not been realized, one of which is due to the ability of the principal (principal) in terms of academic supervision instruments.
In order to improve the principal's ability to develop and carry out academic supervision, a team of lecturers from S-3 Education Management, Postgraduate UNESA held a Training on Preparation of Differentiated Learning-Based Academic Supervision Instruments for Heads of State Junior High Schools in Nganjuk Regency, East Java in early October 2021.
The training was held offline (offline) while still adhering to health protocols. Because of that, the participants who attended were only limited to around 17 principals. On that occasion, participants were invited to deepen their insight into differentiated learning and its benefits in implementing learning and to build awareness about the function of principal supervisors who can support the implementation of quality differentiated learning in schools.
Dr. Nunuk Hariyati, M.Pd, the chief executive, stated that the training was an effort to maximize the implementation of MBKM in schools. According to him, the demands of the current school principal are not getting easier. Therefore, the principal must always upgrade his understanding, abilities and all aspects of his competence on a regular basis.
This task is not only borne by school principals, but also requires important roles from various parties. UNESA as the LPTK campus is also responsible for this. "Therefore, we hold this training for teachers so that they can develop and implement academic supervision instruments in schools," he said.
In addition, the training is also directed to train principals in planning and implementing lessons that are different from usual, more innovative and varied. Such learning is very important, besides not boring, it can also motivate students. “The principal will usually share his understanding with his teachers. The more interesting surprises in the learning atmosphere, the more active and lively the learning atmosphere will be," said the Head of the UNESA Education Management Doctoral Program.
He hopes that this training can improve the competence of school principals in the region and encourage the creation of a quality learning and learning atmosphere. In addition, it can also support the implementation of sustainable development or Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs) in the regions.
The activity, which is part of the PKM, involves experts in education supervision, the core substance and the existence of education management as presenters from the lecturers from S-1 to S-3 Education Management UNESA. They are Dr. Nunuk Hariyati, M.Pd Chairman of PKM, Dr. Karwanto, M.Pd., Dr. Amrozi Khamidi, M.Pd., and Ainur Rifqi, M.Pd as members. [UNESA PR]
