110th Graduation Ceremony of Surabaya State University
Unesa.ac.id., SURABAYA—A total of 1,506 Surabaya State University (UNESA) students who have completed their studies took part in the 110th Graduation Ceremony at the Associate Expert, Applied Bachelor level , Bachelors, Masters and Doctorates at GRAHA UNESA on Thursday (11/07/2024).
The theme of this graduation is "UNESA Graduates become a Tough, Adaptive and Creative Generation towards a Golden Indonesia 2045". This period's graduation ceremony felt special with the presence of the Mayor of Surabaya, Eri Cahyadi, who delivered a scientific oration about the role of graduates in the nation's progress.
Eri Cahyadi said that the era of technological disruption requires young people to learn and adapt well. This is in line with facts on the ground which show that there is a lot of digitalization in the fields of medicine, education, economics and employment using robots.

UNESA Chancellor , Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M.Kes., welcomed this graduation by providing important provisions for graduates of the 'Home of Champions' campus. UNESA graduates, he continued, must become disruptors, role models and bringers of change wherever they are.
Regarding institutional achievements, the chancellor, who is familiarly called Cak Hasan, said that UNESA achieved first place in the Kemendikbudristek IKU League, out of 21 PTN BH throughout Indonesia.
Cak Hasan explained that UNESA is committed to producing national leaders through various recruitment channels, such as leadership talent, achievements, golden tickets, and memorizing the Qur'an. Regular SNBP, SNBT and independent routes are still held with a focus on quality.
In 2024, of the 81 thousand applicants, around 10 thousand were accepted through SNBP and SNBT out of a total quota of 17 thousand. In addition, UNESA seeks to be an agent of change by developing new study programs, including RPL, professional education, training and competency certification.

This year, UNESA added three faculties: Medicine, Psychology and Law, bringing the total to 11 faculties. UNESA also accepts 900 new students at the Magetan Campus and is pioneering PSDKU at IKN.
This sports science professor also encourages innovative research in the fields of sports, disabilities and language arts by providing incentives for outstanding researchers, HAKI, and reputable journal articles, to support the development of superior human resources and the use of science and technology for national development.
“As UNESA graduates, I hope you will find work soon and be successful in the future. "Welcome to joining IKA UNESA, let's build our alma mater together," he added.
At this graduation, UNESA gave awards to the 12 best graduates. They are:

- Mawar Setya Ningrum (Bachelor of Geography Education, GPA 3.91)
- Nurun Nafisah (Bachelor of Information Engineering, GPA 3.93)
- Aulya Safiyna Nuuril Anwari (Bachelor of Sports Science, GPA 3.88)
- Asmaul Khusnah (Bachelor of Economic Education, GPA 3.95)
- Meldydan Ony Ilhamsyah (Bachelor of Law, GPA 3.83)
