The UNESA delegation was welcomed by UPI leadership. The two discussed collaboration in a number of fields, one of which was related to journal and publication management.
Unesa.ac.id. SURABAYA—A Delegation from the State University of Surabaya (UNESA) visited the main campus of the Indonesian University of Education (UPI) in Bandung, on Monday, November 25 2024. During this visit, the UNESA group was received directly by Didi Sukyadi, Deputy Chancellor for Education and Student Affairs at UPI.
Apart from that, Asep Bayu Dani Nandiyanto, representing the UPI Journal and Publication Office and the Director of Information Systems and Technology (STI), Cepi Riyana, were present. In this meeting, the UNESA and UPI teams discussed various topics in depth.
One of the things discussed was related to journal management at each university. As stated by Asep Bayu Dani Nandiyanto, currently UPI has around 200 journals.
The number is more or less the same as journals under UNESA management. From the discussions held, an offer emerged from UPI to be able to synergize in enlivening the academic and collaborative atmosphere in journal management.
UNESA and UPI discussed opportunities for collaboration in publication and journal management to improve the academic ecosystem, research and publications.
Binar Kurnia Prahani, Head of Publication Sub-Directorate UNESA Science and Conference Management welcomed the offer. According to him, this is an opportunity that should not be missed, to increase the quantity and quality of publications from each university.
"We will immediately follow up and discuss it in more detail," said the lecturer at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, UNESA.
Bambang Sigit Widodo, Deputy Chancellor for Research, Innovation, Ranking, Scientific Publications and Science Center UNESA said that a collaborative atmosphere must continue to be built, as the tagline which the Chancellor of UNESA always says.
“We must always be together and work together. "Useful opportunities like this must be followed up immediately, as proof that UNESA is trusted by partners," he said.
This visit ended with an agreement by both parties to return to intense discussions to realize the implementation of the publication collaboration that has been implemented. agreed by UPI and UNESA.[*]
