Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA–The leadership of the State University of Surabaya (UNESA) received a visit from the Education and Culture Office of the Province of East Kalimantan on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 on the 8th floor of the UNESA Rectorate Building, Lidah Wetan Campus. The visit was welcomed by the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Vice Chancellor for Planning and Cooperation.
The meeting was intended to follow up on the MoU which was signed by the two parties some time ago. On that occasion, Anwar Sanusi, S.Pd,. M.Pd as the Head of Education and Culture of East Kalimantan highlighted several things, including those related to the UNESA Vocational Program, inclusive education, and several plans that will be implemented in the future.
He added that East Kalimantan is currently improving the quality of inclusive education and also plans to pay attention to vocational education. In that effort, they cooperate with UNESA as a campus that has long been in the field of inclusive and vocational education. "One of the efforts we are doing is collaborating with UNESA and we are providing scholarships for the young generation of East Kalimantan," he said.
Dr. Sujarwanto, M.Pd as the Deputy Chancellor for Planning and Cooperation said that in an effort to improve the quality of education and inclusive education, collaboration is indeed needed. UNESA welcomes the collaborative efforts of various parties with the aim of improving the quality of human resources in various regions throughout Indonesia. "We are very happy to be able to contribute to each other to improve the quality of education while also helping what the East Kalimantan government needs in relation to UNESA's expert and superior fields," he said.
