Unesa.ac.id., SURABAYA–A total of 2,088 Surabaya State University (UNESA) students have successfully completed their studies and are entitled to hold degrees. They were inaugurated at the 107th Graduation Ceremony for Associate Expert, Bachelor, Master and Doctoral levels at GRAHA UNESA on Monday, 18 September 2023.
At this graduation, UNESA carried the theme 'Innovative, Solutive and Collaborative for Indonesia Forward Harmony'. UNESA Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M.Kes., is optimistic that graduates will have sufficient knowledge and competence, so they are ready to enter the 'campus of life' as well as the world of business and industry (dudi).
"As MBKM becomes stronger and more qualified in each faculty and study program, our graduates are ready to enter the world of work and industry. To the graduates, congratulations on your new chapter, make changes, create innovations and make the best contribution to society and country," he said.

Cak Hasan added, there was something special about this graduation event, where Village Recognition of Past Learning (RPL) students also celebrated their graduation. This is the first graduation and graduate of the Village RPL program in collaboration with the Ministry of Villages, PDTT, UNESA and the Bojonegoro Regency Government.
On another occasion, the Vice Chancellor for Education, Student Affairs and Alumni, Prof. Dr. Madlazim, M.Sc., expressed his commitment to produce graduates who are characterful, competent, adaptive and innovative. The graduate profiles have been carefully prepared through a series of breakthrough programs implemented so far.
UNESA, added the FMIPA professor, has implemented an outcomes-based central or ministry MBKM program. This means that the program designed has a direct impact on increasing student competency on the one hand and on the environment, society and region on the other hand.
"Apart from that, we also have an independent MBKM program. This was appreciated by the Ministry of Education and Culture through awards. With this MBKM, students are properly processed until they have adequate hard skills and soft skills," he explained.
Head of the Sub-directorate of Student Admissions and Graduation, Dr. Sukarmin, M.Pd., added that UNESA graduates this period were from various faculties. He detailed that there were 525 graduates from the Faculty of Education (FIP). Faculty of Languages and Arts (FBS) 172 people. Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) 273 people. The Faculty of Social Sciences and Law (FISH) has 483 people.
Furthermore, the Faculty of Engineering (FT) had 145 graduates, the Faculty of Sports and Health Sciences (FIKK) had 97 graduates, the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) had 357 graduates, the Vocational Faculty had 33 graduates and the Postgraduate School had 4 graduates. "Looking at the levels, the diploma produced 33 graduates, 1,364 regular undergraduate graduates, 585 RPL graduates, 19 masters (S-2) graduates and 14 doctoral (S-3) graduates," explained Sukarmin.

On that occasion, UNESA gave awards in the form of financial assistance and scholarships to its best graduates. They are; 1) Suprapto, GPA 4 from S-3 Vocational Education. 2) M Labib Siena Ar-Rasy, GPA 4 from Master of Sports Education. 3) Indah Silviawati, GPA 3.9 from Bachelor of Economics Education. 4) Zalsha Ayuadelia Efendi, GPA 3.9 from Bachelor of Sports Science. 5) Maisarah Azizah, GPA 3.9 from Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Education.
Next. 6) Hafids Haryonno, GPA 3.9 from Bachelor of Public Administration Science. 7) Syananda Zahra Fadila, GPA 4 from Bachelor of Chemistry. 8) Violla Eka Fernanda, GPA 4 from Bachelor of English Education. 9) Putri Indah Lestari, GPA 3.9 from Bachelor of Education Management. And, 10) Cristina Handayani, GPA 3.9 from D-4 Graphic Design.
Apart from being the first RPL Village graduate, this graduation also felt special because it was attended directly by Dr. H. Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar, M.Sc., Deputy Chair of the MPR RI. On that occasion he congratulated and encouraged graduates to be actively involved and contribute to the success of regional development.
Also present, Head of the Human Resources Development and Empowerment Agency for Village Communities, Disadvantaged Areas and Transmigration, Prof. Dr. Luthfiyah Nurlaela, M.Pd., and the Regent of Bojonegoro, Dr. Hj. Anna Mu'awanah, M.H. Apart from that, there is also the chairman of the Board of Trustees, the chairman of SAU, the deputy chancellors, the deans, deputy deans, directors and officials related to UNESA. [*]
