The atmosphere of the 2024 Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) at UNESA
Unesa.ac.id., SURABAYA – Surabaya State University (UNESA) confirms its dedication to supporting the mastery of Japanese in Indonesia by organizing Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) 2024 on Sunday, July 7 2024. Taking place at the Faculty of Languages and Arts, this event was chaired by Didik Nurhadi, M.Pd., M.A., Ph.D., as Chair of the Surabaya JLPT Committee.
"JLPT was first held at UNESA in 1980. Here, JLPT is held twice every year, in July and December," said Didik Nurhadi.He explained that JLPT provides a Japanese language proficiency certificate which is the minimum requirement for those who want to work in Japan, so this certificate plays an important role and is in demand. This is proven this year, the number of participants taking part in the UNESA JLPT reached 2,022 people, a proud achievement.
“Our participants not only come from Surabaya, but also from Bali, Central Java, Jakarta and West Java. "This is due to the quota system applied in each place," added Didik.
One of the main targets of JLPT this year is that all students of the Japanese Language Study Program at UNESA can pass the N3 category, which is the intermediate level in JLPT.
"We hope that all UNESA Japanese Language Study Program students can reach the N3 category, which is an important achievement in their learning journey," said Didik hopefully.

One of the participants, Ratnah from Lamongan, also shared her experience of taking part in the N3 category in the JLPT test. “Everything that has been learned from the lectures really comes out. "It's just the confession, some of it has been forgotten, some of it is still there," said Ratnah with a smile.
He also encouraged other participants to be confident in their abilities, not give up enthusiasm and continue to try by learning to prepare for the test.
UNESA JLPT participants certainly hope to achieve maximum results . A Japanese language proficiency certificate for them is not just proof of language mastery, but also the key to opening up new job opportunities and life experiences in Japan.
