The 75th Graduation Ceremony of Surabaya State University was held on Saturday (10/20/2012). A total of 2069 graduates and graduates attended the inauguration ceremony that was held at the Bima Unesa Sports Hall Lidah Wetan Campus Surabaya. Unlike the 74th graduation this graduation lasted for two days until Sunday October 21. During these two days graduation will be held in three waves. Like this first day 07.00 to 11.00 WIB GOR Bima was enlivened by graduates from the Postgraduate FIP and FIS programs. Then starting at 12.00 16.00 WIB the second wave of FMIPA FT and FIK programs took place. For the second day followed by FBS and FE.
With the theme of the 75th Graduates Unesa Ready to Educate the Nation of Life and Cultivate Scientific Traditions the event opened with the song "We Are the Champion" and Nirmala delivered by Unesa Simphoni Orchestra with a choir from Gita Prima Wisesa. The event then continued with the senate procession then followed by singing the song Indonesia Raya silence opening the senates open meeting and the chancellors speech.
In his speech Prof. Dr. Muchlas Samani congratulated the graduates who had bagged bachelors masters doctoral degrees and intermediate experts. Unesa has made every effort to provide guidance and training so that graduates are ready to devote their knowledge in the community nation and state.
The rector also instructed graduates to keep them learning throughout their lives so that they will be trained to face challenges and exam. The chancellor also mentioned the development of technology that caused the rapid competition in work.
In this digital age Android i-Tab Galaxy Tab and a set of other super-sophisticated equipment have emerged which may one day be feared to replace thick print books. By learning independently and practicing correct English we will slowly be able to navigate the digital era that threatens the future Muchlas said.
Muchlas also regrets the publics choice in private schools or hospitals. expensive even though there are plenty of cheap schools and public hospitals out there. According to Muchlas this was influenced by two factors: an increase in the economy and purchasing power of the people and an increase in awareness of education and health.
