Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA -The Postgraduate Program at the State University of Surabaya (UNESA) held a webinar series with the theme "Management of Change for Implementation of Free Learning, Free Teaching" on Saturday (09/04/2022). This activity was carried out virtually and broadcast through Unesa Postgraduate YouTube.
On that occasion, Dr. Praptono, M.Ed., Director of School Principals, School Supervisors and Education Personnel, Kemendikbudristek explained that increasing innovation and strategy can be encouraged through an independent curriculum.
In implementing the independent curriculum, he continued, it is necessary to support an independent teaching platform to assist teachers in getting references, inspiration and understanding to implement the curriculum. "So now there is no reason for teachers to have difficulties in getting teaching tools," he said.
Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Bambang Yulianto, M.Pd., said that this pandemic period demands a change management strategy in terms of learning and pursuing. The government has facilitated the existence of independent learning and teaching in the form of simplification of the primary to secondary school curriculum. This is an opportunity as well as a challenge to continue to innovate and be creative in capturing the simplification idea.
Postgraduates have also made many innovations that show creativity in them. Recently, several new study programs have been opened and will be launched this year. This is an opportunity given to the community for lifelong learning. "Hopefully this webinar will continue and we can have creative ideas through similar activities," he hoped.
Prof. Dr. Wasis, M.Sc., Director of Postgraduate UNESA said, in order to realize the vision and mission, especially in developing innovation and disseminating science, technology and art, the Postgraduate held the first webinar series.
"Hopefully the speakers who attended will provide reinforcement for all of us so that in a pandemic condition we can continue to oversee the quality of education, research and service in our respective institutions in general," he hoped.
Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Nining Widya Kusnanik, M.Appl.Sc. as Deputy Director of Academic and Postgraduate Student Affairs at Unesa explained, at the admission of new students for even semesters, the Postgraduate has added 3 new study programs, namely S-2 Early Childhood Education, S-2 Chemistry, and S-2 Accounting. So that in total there are 31 study programs; 8 Master's Degree Study Programs and 23 Master's Degree Study Programs.
Meanwhile, Dr. Erny Roesminingsih, M.Sc., Head of Postgraduate Education Management Study Program UNESA explained that the pandemic period does not only focus on innovation, but also requires recovery and requires transformation.
