UNESA 2024 SNBP Entry Applicants Increase, Reaching 35,968 Participants: Most Strict Medical Study Program

Unesa.ac.id., SURABAYA—Registration for the 2024 merit-based national selection or SNBP has closed. The number of registrations for Surabaya State University (UNESA) in 2024 for this route reached 35,968 registrants with details of 18,205 registrants for choice one and 17,763 for choice two.

This number has increased from the previous year, namely 34,527 registrants on the same route. This upward trend strengthens the position of the 'Home of Champions' campus as one of the favorite universities in the country.

Head of the Sub-directorate of Student Admissions and Graduation, Dr. Sukarmin, M.Pd., said that there is an interesting trend in this year's SNBP, where the Bachelor of Management study program still tops the list of UNESA study programs with the most applicants.

Favorite Study Programs< /p>

"Almost all study programs that were in the top 10 with the most applicants two years ago on the same track are also the study programs with the most applicants this year," said Sukarmin at UNESA on Monday, March 4 2024.

< p>The list of ten study programs with the most applicants on the 'Home of Champions' campus is as follows:

1. Bachelor's Study Program in Management with 1,960 applicants
2. Bachelor's Study Program in Teacher Education Elementary School (PGSD) with 1,682 registrants
3. Bachelor of Psychology Study Program with 1,594 registrants
4. Bachelor of Accounting Study Program with 1,288 registrants
5. Bachelor of Science Study Program Communication with 1,279 registrants
6. Undergraduate Law Study Program with 1,182 registrants
7. Digital Business Undergraduate Study Program with 1,145 registrants
8. Information Engineering Undergraduate Study Program with 1,103 registrants,
9. Bachelor of Public Administration Study Program with 1,067 registrants, and
10. Bachelor of Nutrition Study Program with 1,009 registrants.

Highest Stringency Study Program

The home base lecturer at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) added that in terms of the level of competition to enter UNESA, the Bachelor of Medicine study program tops the list with the highest level of tightness in the 2024 SNBP.

Sukarmin explained that this study program is the tightest in terms of the number of applicants and available quota. The more registrants and the smaller the quota, the higher the strictness ratio. Regarding the UNESA Medicine study program, this year the number of applicants is in the hundreds, while the quota is not large.

"If the level of rigor is high, of course the competition for seats in that study program will also be high. "Therefore, this trend in SNBP registrants can be a reference for participants in the next route (SNBT, ed.) to prepare themselves as well as possible," he explained. The list of study programs with the highest strictness ratio is as follows:
