Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA-The Independent Learning and Independent Campus Program (MBKM) is an opportunity for students to develop innovation, creativity, capacity, personality, and unlimited competence. UNESA socialized MBKM which was attended by Prof. Aris Junaidi, Ph.D., Director of Learning and Student Affairs, Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology.
He explained, there are many ways that can be done to have superior competence, one of which is by studying at a university. "Currently, during the lecture process, students have the opportunity to take 20 credits in other study programs and 40 credits on campus life because every student has potential, aspirations, aspirations, passions, which are different from one another, so learning is flexible," he said. "Students must actively develop themselves, on and off campus," he added.
According to Aris, the implementation of MBKM that is being promoted at this time, students have the flexibility to take courses outside the study program which can be taken through several routes. "Student paths for taking the MK can be organized by the Faculty, University, or held by partners for student exchange, as well as the MBKM program by DIKTI and UGM," he explained.
There is an academic tax that he describes which refers to the rector's decree applicable at the university. For example, the Decree of the Chancellor of the University of Bandar Lampung. In addition, the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are the basis for the transformation of higher education. “The KPI is measured from graduates who get decent jobs, students who get off-campus experience, lecturers, practitioners, international standard study programs, collaborative classes, to the work of lecturers used by the community.
