Unesa.ac.id, Surabaya–Every school has the hope that its students can be accepted into state universities. Therefore, many SMA, SMK and MA pick up the ball by visiting campuses. The goal is to find out in detail and more closely the admission system for new students on campuses that are targeted by students. That's what SMAN 5 Surabaya did. Representatives of their teachers visited UNESA on Monday, January 24, 2022.
Representatives of SMAN 5 Surabaya consisting of Drs. Sudirman, Mokhamad Imron, S.Pd., and Evan Indrasari, S.Pd., M.Sc. who is a Counseling Guidance teacher. They were greeted directly by the ranks of the UNESA Admissions Unit and Public Relations on the 8th Floor, UNESA Rectorate Building Lidah Wetan, Surabaya.
Mokhamad Imron explained that the visit was intended to obtain a lot of information on the new student admission system at UNESA as a state university. Starting from registration, the routes that are opened and the terms and conditions. "This is a positive step for us. We will pass on the information from here to our students, so they can prepare themselves to register at UNESA,” he said.
He continued, in line with the progress of the times, and the transformation of the world of work and industry requires students to adapt and develop themselves, one of which is in college. "What we hope is that our students will not only become scholars, but also have a constructive and innovative perspective on the world," he said.
Evan Indrasari revealed that this visit was an effort by the teachers to accommodate the information needed by students to register for higher education, and to facilitate them so that they have provisions before registering and choosing the admission path at destination campuses, one of which is at UNESA.
Dr. Sukarmin, M.Pd, Head of the UNESA Admissions Unit, revealed that the campus has the slogan 'One Step Ahead; It has dozens of study programs, both educational and non-educational. “Here, your students can develop themselves according to their respective passions or interests and talents, UNESA has seven faculties and has three advantages; sports, arts and disabilities,” said Sukarmin.
In this meeting, Vinda Maya Setianingrum, S.Sos., M.A., along with Awang Dharmawan, S.Ikom., M.A., explained various points and tips for choosing study programs that have good opportunities and are in accordance with the abilities of students. In addition, there were also presentations of various favorite study programs and presentations on the tightness of competition.
