As a form of concern for bonsai hobbyists in Indonesia and to reinforce the mission as a recreational educative and conservative campus Unesa held an exhibition titled Bonsai Enter Campus in the series of 49th Anniversary this year. According to the records of the Indonesian Bonsai Study Institute (LKBI) this event was the first bonsai exhibition to be initiated by a university as well as being held on campus. This exhibition seemed to complement the various efforts of the Unesa campus which continues to improve into an environmentally friendly campus.
This activity which aims to show the beauty of bonsai was held in the joglo of the Ketintang campus baseball canteen from the beginning of December to the 19th Anniversary celebration. There are 43 bonsai plants on display by bonsai collectors from all over Indonesia. One of them is a garden contractor or contractor who is also a graduate of Unesa. Collecting bonsai can hone aesthetic sensitivity while challenging the soul of the business. Imagine a dwarf plant if sold can reach prices ranging from 10 million to 30 million per bonsai tree depending on the shape and uniqueness of the bonsai itself " he said.
If you want to enjoy the green atmosphere with the beautiful blue sky accompanied by the chirping of birds flying around the lake and watching ducks playing in the water please come to the baseball canteen area of Unesa campus in Ketintang Surabaya. Throughout this month eco-friendly week was held starting from a bonsai exhibition a birdsong contest a fishing competition to a clean and green competition at Unesas environmental work unit.
