Unesa.ac.id. SURABAYA—Indonesian National Education Convention (Konaspi) XI 2024 is only a few days away. As planned, this forum which will bring together practitioners, academics, experts and higher education leaders with educational policy makers will be held at Graha State University of Surabaya (UNESA), on Tuesday-Thursday, 08-10 October 2024.
As The host, UNESA Chancellor Nurhasan ensured that all aspects had been carefully prepared to make the agenda a success. "The place is ready at Graha UNESA which can accommodate thousands of people. Various accommodation, transportation and security are ready and have been coordinated with various related parties," he said.
The sports science professor who is familiarly called Cak Hasan added that this time Konaspi will be attended by around 2,000 participants from various universities throughout Indonesia. The President of the Republic of Indonesia (RI), Joko Widodo and the Elected President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto were also invited.
The ranks of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet will also be presented as keynote speakers. Likewise with the leadership of the Archipelago Capital Authority (OIKN), and the ranks of directors general (dirjen) within the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek).
"We have invited the President and high-ranking state officials and still adjusting the schedule. "What is certain is that several ministers and director generals have expressed their willingness to attend directly at Graha UNESA," said Cak Hasan.
There are several objectives for implementing Konaspi. First, provide strategic recommendations for national education development towards a GOLD Indonesia (Era of a Just and Prosperous Society). Second, agree on strategic points for the development of LPTK (Educational Personnel Educational Institutions) which are contributive to national development.
Third, discussing the opportunities and challenges of educational change in the digital era that need to be addressed by LPTK. Fourth, discussing changes to the National Education System Law. Fifth, discussing the policy and implementation of Merdeka Belajar, especially at LPTK.
Sixth, discussing the revitalization of LPTK, both from institutional aspects, governance of LPTK PTN-BH (Legal Entity State Universities), standardization of quality and curriculum, to inclusive education. The transformation of teachers in the 21st century has not escaped discussion.
Cak Hasan said that 2024 is the momentum for the transition of the national development relay towards Indonesia GOLD 2045. For this reason, the spirit of Konaspi this time is to strengthen commitment and collaboration to produce recommendations and provide educational policy input to the government.
On this basis, the theme this time is "The Realization of a GOLD Indonesia Requires Superior Human Resources." Konaspi will last for three days with various series of events, ranging from international conferences, educational exhibitions, and Indonesian educational conventions. Apart from that, there are also city tours, gala dinners and sports recreation.
For your information, Konaspi is an agenda organized by the Association of Indonesian Education Personnel Educational Institutions (ALPTKI) which consists of 12 LPTK universities as follows; Surabaya State University (UNESA), Semarang State University (Unnes), Ganesha Education University (Undiksha).
Apart from that, there are Yogyakarta State University (UNY), Malang State University (UM) and Indonesian Education University (UPI), Medan State University (Unimed), Jakarta State University (UNJ), Gorontalo State University ( UNG), Makassar State University (UNM). Padang State University (UNP), and Manado State University (Unima). []
