Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA –The Biodiversity Division, Faculty of Language and Arts UNESA held an Eco Campus Study Tour to the Dream Workshop located on Jalan Kanigoro Village, Pagelaran District, Malang on Wednesday, December 9, 2021.
In total there were nine lecturers who left with the intention of seeing firsthand the development of the world of organic or hydroganic agriculture that had been there for years. Dream Workshop is a place for developing hydroponic plants and has an organic plant form with a contemporary model.
In addition, processing food waste into compost and regulating water can be used for the hydroponic installation process for rice, shallots and the like. Welly Suryandoko, S. Pd., M. Pd as the Deputy Chair of the Eco Campus stated that they have programs that include biodiversity, waste management, water division, healthy food and drinks.
The hope is that the team can get a lot of inspiration and experience in developing the eco-campus program at UNESA. "Hopefully from this visit there will be a lot of knowledge that can later be applied in the campus environment," he hoped.
The study tour is the first step of FBS to develop hydroponic plants. "In line with Surabaya's climatic conditions, the contours of the land and the area of land in FBS allow for the application of hydroganics," said Welly Suryandoko.
Meanwhile, Agus Suwahyono, S. Sn., M. Pd, Head of Eco Campus stated that the study tour is an interesting learning activity and can get a lot of inspiration. Therefore, he hopes, the team can take advantage of these activities to enrich the experience. Most importantly, coming home later can make a significant difference.
Basiri, as the owner of the Dream Workshop, expressed his gratitude for getting a visit from the Language and Arts Faculty as the UNESA Faculty. He was amazed, because those who visited were campus departments outside of the environmental field, but they actually cared and wanted to learn to improve the quality of the environment. "I am happy to see the enthusiasm of these lecturers in observing, and studying and taking notes on hydrogenic forms that can be applied on campus," he said. [UNESA PR]
