Unesa.ac.id, Surabaya - In an effort to change the paradigm, Labschool Unesa held a launching for new name and logo on Thursday (3/12) at the Achilles Sport Science And Fitness Center Unesa Swimming Pool. This event was attended by Rector and the Vice Rectors, Deans, and heads of institutions surrounding Unesa by complying with strict health protocols.
Director of Labshool Unesa, Prof. Dr. Roesminingsih, M.Pd. in his speech presented, 9 schools under the auspices of Labshool Unesa have different names. That's why Labschool has a hard time building branding. "The rebranding of the new name and logo is expected to be able to rebrand Labschool Unesa and make labschool as reference for nearby schools," said roesminingsih.
There are 9 schools under the auspices of Labschool Unesa. The nine schools are TK IDHATA Unesa transformed into TPA, Play Groups, and TK Labschool Unesa 1, TK Dharma Wanita changed into TPA, Play Group, and TK Labschool Unesa 2, SD Laboratorium Unesa changed to SD Labschool Unesa 1, SD Labschool Unesa Lidah Wetan changed to SD Labschool Unesa 2, SMP Unesa 1 Kawung changed into SMP Labschool Unesa 1, SMP Laboratorium Yayasan Dharma Wanita Pembangunan transformed into SMP Labschool Unesa 2 , SMA Labschool Unesa changed into SMA Labschool Unesa 1, and SMK IKIP Surabaya changed to SMK Labschool Unesa 1.
"We hope, after this there will be elementary, junior high, and senior high school Labschool Unesa next" concluded Roesminingsih.
Labschool Unesa's new logo has a blue color as the basic symbolizes integrity and intelligence as an educational institution. Then the shield in which letters L and S which means that Labschool becomes part of the protective institution and educational fighters for the younger generation whose contribution is always real for the future of the Indonesian nation. And it is an inseparable part of Unesa. The circle symbolizes immortality that is protective for defense. White symbolizes as purity, and also an early foothold for success.
Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Bambang Yulianto, M.Pd. said that with the new name and logo Labschool Unesa, labschool is expected to bring new work ethic, new achievements, and new creative ideas.
"Labschool Unesa must be at the forefront and show excellence. I'm sure those excellent seeds are there. And I believe that the superior seeds can be even superior if there are ideas and activities that can indeed make the advantages stand out again," explained by Prof. Bambang. (Mufti)
