The woman born in Bima, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), on October 7, 2009 successfully penetrated the Pancasila Education Study Program and Citizenship (PPKN) Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIPOL) Unesa.
"Initially, I did not think could be accepted at Unesa. When checking the announcement with friends, it feels mixed and Alhamdulillah passes," said the graduate of SMAS Kae Woha.
The only child of the couple Najamuddin and Sarinah had been hesitant to migrate to the City of Heroes. However, the support of parents convinced him that the decision to migrate was part of the struggle.
"At first hesitated because I did not know my area in Surabaya. But parents convinced that I had to go there to learn. It made me more calm and confident," he said. It could not be separated from the beginning of entering elementary school which was fairly fast. He entered school at the age of five.
Despite too fast, Yuyun showed a high enthusiasm for learning. Since sitting in elementary school, it has always been ranked in its class. He continued to excel up to the high school level.
He acknowledged that the achievement was not something instant, but the result of parents' education, learning discipline, and consistency.
"Since childhood, I have been accustomed to learning regularly. I always try to understand every lesson well, not only memorize, but also understand the concept," he said.
First, maintain motivation by setting clear goals and determining future targets.
Second, he uses time effectively by managing regular learning schedules, determining priority assignments, and avoiding the habit of delaying learning and doing assignments.
Third, he applies an active learning method by always asking in class, discussing with friends, and doing additional tasks to deepen the understanding of the material.
"My parents always instill the value that education is a provision for the future. They support me in everything, both in learning and in preparing themselves for lectures," he added.
For him, citizenship education has an important role in shaping the character of a national generation with a national insight and upholding democratic values.
