Unesa.ac.id, Surabaya – The Rector of Universitas Negeri Surabaya (Unesa) was appointed as The Coordinator of Infrastructure in the board of the Higher Education Forum for Villages (Forum Pertides) through the Decree of the Minister of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration Number 12 of 2021 stipulated in Jakarta, on February 10, 2021.
Pertides is a forum formed by the Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration (Kemendes PDTT). In addition to Rector Unesa, there are also Rectors from several other universities involved. There are those who become chairman, secretary and coordinator in each field; infrastructure, food, education, nutrition and health, environment, economy, and independent areas of independent campus learning.
The task of Rector Unesa and other campus Rectors as coordinators is to coordinate university resources in various fields. As for the ranks of the Ministry of Finance pdtt as a steering team in charge of providing strategic direction and policy implementation of pertides Forum activities. Then for the Working Group team filled by LPPM from various universities have the task of arranging the planning of Pertides Forum activities, carrying out forum activities, and arranging and reporting pertides forum activities to the Secretary General of the Ministry of Rural Affairs PDTT.
The establishment of Pertides Forum is a strategic step, and a form of collaboration between the Ministry of Rural Affairs and universities in improving the quality of life and welfare of village communities through various programs in various fields. "We need to synergize with universities in supporting programs to accelerate development and empowerment of village communities and solve problems in the village," said Taufik Madjid, Secretary General of the Ministry of Rural Affairs pdtt.
Rector Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M.Kes., said that Unesa has always supported various government cooperation programs with universities. According to him, it is natural for universities to increase the network of cooperation with various parties. "Collaboration is the demand of the 4.0 industrial revolution and one of the most important demands of the century," he said.
With the spirit of collaboration, all strange problems can be resolved. It can also be a lighter for the birth of various innovations as a solution to answer challenges and solve problems in the community. "Hopefully through this Pertides Forum cooperation can be more maximal and improve the quality of human resources, and the welfare of village communities," he hoped. "The variety of cooperation so far, is a manifestation of the spirit of Unesa one step ahead, Unesa advanced, the community and the nation also excel.
