Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA—The 2024 state university entrance selection system has been launched and announced by the National Selection Committee for New Student Admissions (SNPMB) 2024 PTN online via the SNPMB BPPP Youtube channel, Jakarta on Friday, December 8 2023.
There are three entry routes, namely the National Selection Path Based on Achievement (SNBP); National Selection Based on Tests (SNBT); and Independent Selection. Regarding the SNBP and SNBT routes, they are fully prepared by the SNPMB Committee, while the Independent Selection route is fully managed by each PTN.
General Chair of the Team Responsible for the 2024 SNPMB Committee, Ganefri explained that the spirit of implementing the 2024 SNPMB is accountability, transparency , and fair. A number of changes are intended to encourage students to focus on recognizing talents, interests, career aspirations and being responsible for the choices they make.
Selection Conditions
The SNBP pathway is carried out based on results of tracking academic achievements using report cards as well as academic and non-academic achievements. SNBP participants are SMA/SMK/MA students in the final class of 2024 who have superior achievements. The academic and non-academic achievements of the students assessed are the three best achievements.
The minimum quota for the SNBP pathway for each PTN is 20%. Schools will fill in report cards for students who are eligible to take part in SNBP in the School and Student Data Base (PDSS). As in 2023, students who have passed the 2024 SNBP, 2023 SNBP and 2022 National Selection for State University Entrance (SNMPTN) selection cannot register for UTBK-SNBT 2024.
"Furthermore, in 2024, students "Those who are declared to have passed the 2024 SNBP Pathway selection will also not be able to register for the Independent Pathway selection at any PTN," said Ganefri at the press conference.
He added, the SNBT route is followed by participants who first register and take the Based Written Test Computer (UTBK) as the first step in the selection process. Participants are only allowed to take part in UTBK 2024 once.
UTBK 2024 results are only valid for taking part in SNBT and admission to PTN in 2024 only. The minimum quota for the SNBT route for each PTN is 40%; except PTN Legal Entities (PTNBH), minimum SNBT 30%.
Participants who may take part in UTBK are SMA/SMK/MA class 12 students in 2024 or Package C students in 2024 with a maximum age of 22 years (as of 1 July 2024) and students graduating from SMA/SMK/MA equivalent in 2022 and 2023 or Package C graduates in 2022 and 2023 with a maximum age of 22 years (as of 1 July 2024). The maximum age for package C participants has changed from 2023. UTBK participants are charged a registration fee.
SNPMB Mechanism
Implementation of the 2024 SNPMB begins with Account Registration SNPMB on the SNPMB Portal (https://portal-snpmb.bppp.kemdikbud.go.id).).
Registrants are required to have an SNPMB account via Single Sign On (SSO) starting from filling in PDSS, SNBP Registration, to UTBK-SNBT Registration.
There are additional provisions that will come into effect in 2024, namely for participants Those who are declared to have passed the 2024 SNBT route and have re-registered at their intended PTN cannot be accepted for the 2024 Independent Pathway selection at any PTN.
Apart from that, there are also differences in the conditions for selecting study programs for the 2024 SNBT Route .
SNBT pathway participants are allowed to choose a maximum of 4 (four) study programs consisting of 2 (two) Academic Program (Bachelor's) choices and 2 (two) Vocational Program (Diploma Three and Diploma Four/Applied Bachelor's) choices ).
SNBP Stage
- The SNBP Pathway Stage begins with the Announcement of School Quotas on December 28 2023;
- Rebuttal Period School Quota on 28 December 2023-17 January 2024;
- School SNPMB Account Registration on 08 January-08 February 2024 and Student SNPMB Account Registration on 08 January-15 February 2024;
- Filling PDSS on 09 January-09 February 2024;
- SNBP Registration on 14-28 February 2024;
- Announcement of SNBP Results on 26 March 2024, while the Re-Registration schedule for participants who pass SNBP can be seen on the page of each targeted PTN.
SNBT Stage
- The SNBT Pathway Stage begins with Student SNPMB Account Registration on 08 January-15 February 2024;
- Registration for UTBK and SNBT will be carried out on 21 March-05 April 2024;
- Implementation of UTBK will be carried out in two waves, namely Wave 1 on 30 April 2024 and 02- 07 May 2024 while Wave 2 will be on 14-20 May 2024;
- Announcement of SNBT Pathway Selection Results on 13 June 2024;
- UTBK Certificate Download Period on 17 June-31 July 2024.< /li>
