Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA-A number of state officials and university leaders throughout Indonesia took part in the Executive Golf Tournament and Invitation organized by the State University of Surabaya (UNESA) at Taman Dayu Golf, on Sunday 17 July 2022. The tournament is a series of activities for the 58th Anniversary of UNESA.
The tournament was opened directly by the Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) RI Dr. Zainudin Amali, S.E., M.Sc. As for a number of officials who attended, including the Special Staff of the Vice President for Bureaucratic Reform, Prof. Drs. Mohamad Nasir, Ak., MSi., Ph.D; and Director of Resources, Directorate General of Diktiristek, Kemendikbudristek Dr. Mohammad Sofwan Effendi, M.Ed;
The university leaders include Prof. Ainun Na'im, Ph.D from Gadjah Mada University (UGM); The Chancellor of the State University of Jakarta (UNJ) Prof. Dr. Komarudin, M.Si; UPN Veterans East Java Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ir. Akhmad Fauzi, ,M.MT; The Chancellor of the State University of Gorontalo (UNG) Dr. Ir. Eduart Wolok, ST., MT; The Chancellor of the State University of Padang (UNP) Prof. Drs. Ganefri, M.Pd, Ph.D; UNS Chancellor Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, S.H., M.Hum and Vice Chancellor 1 of the University of Indonesia (UI) Prof. Dr.rer.nat. Abdul Haris, M.Sc. along with dozens of other invited guests.
Menpora said about UNESA
On that occasion, Menpora Zainudin Amali congratulated UNESA's 58th Anniversary. According to him, the important role of UNESA as an ex-IKIP campus in advancing the world of education in Indonesia is indeed extraordinary. The development of UNESA also deserves thumbs up through its excellence in sports, education-language-arts to disability.
In addition, other fields under the auspices of a number of UNESA faculties continue to show their quality both at the national and international levels. In the technical field, for example, the UNESA team continues to achieve achievements, as well as in the field of science which often produces various innovations.
“UNESA's commitment to sports, which is supported by the spirit of its leadership, is extraordinary. Thanks to UNESA's support, the DBON program can run in East Java. UNESA is one of the four centers for DBON athlete development. Tomorrow, the selection of participants starts," he said.
The Minister of Youth and Sports hopes that UNESA will be more resilient, advanced and superior and become a world-class campus. “Success is always for UNESA and other campuses. Hopefully we will always be enthusiastic about collaborating for an advanced and superior Indonesia," he said.
Meanwhile, UNESA Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M.Kes., expressed his gratitude to all invited guests who had attended the Executive Golf meeting and match. According to him, it is an honor for UNESA which has reached the age of 58 years. "Hopefully forums and meetings like this will be maintained, collaboration between universities will increase to give birth to various breakthroughs in the future," hoped Cak Hasan.
The development of the times is so fast, continued Cak Hasan, the campus cannot run alone, because it will be easily run over by the flow of time. Campuses must go hand in hand, promote each other whose direction is to create an intelligent, prosperous and advanced society.

Happy Tennis
In addition to these activities, the day before, UNESA also held Happy Tennis with the leadership of Sebelas Maret University (UNS), Surakarta at Gor Tennis, Lidah Wetan Campus, Surabaya, on Saturday 18 July 2022. On that occasion, a team from UNESA and UNS leaders competed ability. Each of them displays their best performance in throwing the ball into the opponent's area.
Dr, Dr. Dwi Cahyo Kartiko, M.Kes., the chief executive said that this sport is not only meant to encourage each other, but also to create happiness for the players. “When there is a meeting, it is not only in the room. UNESA always invites guests and partners to try out and even compete in sports skills. This method seems to be a good impression for institutional leaders when visiting here. The hope is that later everyone will become addicted to sports, and of course this is an effort to be both healthy and fit. In order to increase immunity and be happy, "he explained.
UNS Chancellor's Appreciation
Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, S.H., M.Hum., Chancellor of UNS expressed his appreciation for the UNESA ranks who continue to challenge him to play tennis. "No wonder this campus (UNESA, ed) always excels at various levels of competition, the sports spirit of its leaders is so burning. We don't want to lose," he said.
According to him, the development of UNESA is extraordinary so that it is increasingly recognized and able to compete in various national and international rankings. “I see that UNESA is now several steps forward and growing a lot. Having achieved good performance indicators every year and consistently increasing," he explained.
UNESA Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M.Kes., said that UNS is a senior UNESA. Many things can be learned from the performance and achievements of UNS. Therefore, while playing sports, they also discuss many things about higher education and future innovations.
