Socialization of National Community Service Program by the Directorate of Educational Transformation and Unset Learning Technology.
Unesa. ac.id, SURABAYA–In order to strengthen the spirit of nationality and national solidarity among students, the Directorate of Educational Transformation and Learning Technology at Surabaya State University (UNESA) held an online socialization of National Real Work Lectures (KKN) on Monday, May 6 2024.
The National Community Service Program is designed to provide students with community service experience, as well as hone leadership and teamwork skills. This socialization aims to provide an in-depth understanding of the objectives, benefits and technicalities of implementing National KKN.
The event was opened by the Director of Educational Transformation and Learning Technology at UNESA, Prof. Dr. Fida Rachmadiarti, M.Kes., who emphasized the importance of students' mental readiness. "During the implementation of the program, students cannot suddenly withdraw and want to go home. "Students who will take part in this program must be tough," he stressed.
Afifan Yulfadinata, S.Pd., M.Pd., lecturer in charge of the XII National KKN program, explained that this program is a golden opportunity for students to learn and contribute directly to society. "National Community Service Program is one of our ways to build a better Indonesia," he said.
He provided a detailed explanation regarding preparation, implementation in the field, and program evaluation, as well as technical guidance regarding registration, group formation, and choosing the KKN location.
The main socialization session continued with an inspiring sharing session from students participating in the 2023 and 2022 National KKN.
Dewi Fatma Wati, Psychology student class of 2020, shared his experiences while serving in Sambas and Bengkayang Regencies, West Kalimantan. He emphasized the importance of always coordinating with local village stakeholders to maintain harmony and smooth running of the program.
Furthermore, Muafi Fathi Rizki, an Education Technology student class of 2020, shared his experiences while in Palangkaraya Regency in 2022. With enthusiasm, Muafi provided valuable tips on how to understand the needs, conditions and potential of the local area, which are the keys to success in implementing KKN.
The interactive question and answer session added to the excitement of the event. The participants enthusiastically asked questions about registration requirements, assessment mechanisms, and tips for carrying out KKN programs in the field.
This dynamic discussion shows the high interest of students in participating in National KKN.
As closing, UNESA MBKM Ambassador, Dhebby Silvia Putri, invited all UNESA students to actively participate in National KKN. “Let's take advantage of this opportunity to learn, innovate and make a real contribution to society. "National Community Service is a concrete manifestation of our spirit of mutual cooperation and togetherness as a nation," he concluded.[]
