Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA-A total of 513 undergraduate students from the Faculty of Language and Arts (FBS), Surabaya State University at Yudisium successfully completed their studies. They took part in the 102nd graduation of FBS on Tuesday, November 02, 2021. The online graduation held the theme "Resilient, Innovative and Adaptive Graduates Ready to Face the Future in the Era of Technological Disruption".
FBS Dean, Dr. Trisakti, M.Sc., in his speech said that the achievements of the judiciary up to this point have deep meaning for students and parents. According to him, graduation during the pandemic is a form of resilience in dealing with situations and conditions that were previously unimaginable. "This toughness must remain in every judiciary to face the various challenges of life in people's lives," he said.
Furthermore, Trisakti said that apart from being mentally tough, one must also have an innovative and adaptive attitude in influencing the rapidly changing times. "Changes that occur in the era of disruption are certainly a challenge for all of us including the judiciary. Through innovation and collaboration in the development of science and technology, it is hoped that you (yudisiawan, ed) can adapt in all conditions and situations to meet an advanced and successful future," he said. .
He advised graduates to always remember and care about UNESA's address. "We always wait for your contribution to advance the alma mater, be an alumni who always care about the progress of study programs in particular and UNESA in general. Once again we congratulate you on the success you have achieved, hopefully you will always be given the opportunity to achieve other successes," he concluded.
The event continued by giving awards to outstanding academics, both in academic and non-academic fields. This is marked by the best and highest predicate in the category of cumulative achievement index (GPA) and the category of non-academic assessment system (Sipena).
Hanidar Fejri Diagusty from Sendratasik Education won the highest GPA of 3.9 with honors. He also had the opportunity to be a judicial representative to give a speech. He thanked all the lecturers who were always patient and tirelessly always guiding, educating and accompanying during lectures. "There is no better reply than to say thank you to the lecturers, hopefully the knowledge that has been given can be useful for all of us," he said.
Furthermore, Luth Indiyana from Music Arts managed to get a GPA of 3.88 and followed by Johanes Yongky Pratama from Music Arts with a GPA of 3.87. Meanwhile, the highest Sipena score went to Prahoro Yudo Purwono from the German Literature study program with a score of 6,460. Followed by Weni Puji Lestari from German Language Education with a score of 3,595 and Heny Nursela Kurniawati from English Education with a score of 2,350. (meds/zam*)
