Unesa. ac.id, SURABAYA—Career Center of Surabaya State University (UNESA) successfully held a webinar entitled "Creating Your Career for the Bright Future" on Friday, 31 May 2024. This event aims to help UNESA students and graduates in planning their careers and preparing themselves to face challenges world of work.
The webinar was opened by Muhammad Farid Ilhamuddin, S.Pd., M.Pd., as Head of the Sub-directorate of UNESA Counseling and Career Guidance Services. In his speech, he stated, "We will regularly hold activities like this, considering the large number of students who need knowledge about careers for their future." This statement confirms UNESA's commitment to supporting the career development of its students.

Event times This event presents Diora Fradipta, a Global Talent Acquisitionist at Avomind GmbH, as a speaker. Diora presented material entitled "Crafting a Strategic Career Plan for a Bright Future", which was designed to help students develop a mature and focused career plan.
Diora Fradipta explained five important steps in preparing for a successful career. First, knowing your personality which emphasizes the importance of understanding yourself and your personality to determine the right career path.
Second, "determine career options" which involves exploring various career options that suit your interests and skills. Third, composing CV and portfolio. Diora provides practical tips for compiling a CV and portfolio that are attractive to recruiters.
Fourth, job interview preparation, focuses on preparing to face job interviews confidently and professionally. The final step is FGD preparation, which discusses preparations for focus group discussions, which are often used in the employee selection process.

In addition to providing In-depth explanation of the five steps, Diora Fradipta also revealed her plans to hold the second session of this webinar. The follow-up session will focus on how to enrich your portfolio on LinkedIn, a professional platform that is very important for career development in today's digital era.
At the end of the material, Diora delivered an inspirational message to the participants. "Stay hungry for knowledge for the future and look for lots of activities that can find your passion," he said. It is hoped that this message can motivate students to continue learning and be active in various activities that support their career development.
