Senior Chancellors of State Universities throughout Indonesia gathered at UNESA to discuss strengthening and the importance of collaboration in realizing superior human resources.
Unesa. AC ID. SURABAYA—Surabaya State University (UNESA) hosted the Communication Forum for Senior Chancellors of Indonesian State Universities on Saturday, April 27 2024. The activity which took place at the Lidah Wetan Campus 2 Rectorate Building was attended by senior rectors throughout Indonesia.
In his speech, the Chancellor of UNESA, Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M.Kes., said that this senior rector forum was the second time after last year it was held at Trisakti University, Jakarta.This forum is a forum to strengthen ties and communication between senior rectors of state universities throughout Indonesia. And, has a strategic role to provide input on the main strategic ideas to the government, especially regarding the management of higher education in Indonesia, in an effort to prepare superior human resources.
UNESA Chancellor Cak Hasan emphasized that
Cak Hasan We hope that this forum can strengthen the chancellors who currently lead higher education institutions. "As the host, we would like to express our gratitude. It is truly an honor for the UNESA family to be trusted to host this honorable forum," he said.
Chairman of the Council of Chancellors of Indonesian State Universities (MRPTNI), Prof. Ganefri, Ph.D., explained that this senior chancellor forum was important to contribute thoughts or suggestions regarding recent issues in the world of education.
“Our existence today has increasingly greater responsibilities, because many strategic issues that need to be addressed together in higher education. "With collaboration that continues to be strengthened through this forum, we can face challenges well and innovatively," he said.
Even though the chancellors have brilliant ideas and concepts for the future of the nation's education, added Prof. Ganefri, at least there is still a need for contributions from various parties, including universities, to provide better educational development in Indonesia.
This activity was attended by MRPTNI management, senior chancellors throughout Indonesia, MWA (Assembly of Trustees), SAU (University Academic Senate), UNESA deputy chancellor and dean, UNESA DWP administrators, and other invited guests.[]
