Unesa.ac.id, SIDOARJO–The Academic Directorate of Surabaya State University (UNESA) identified the need for additional quality assurance features for the Independent Learning Campus (MBKM) program at SI MUTU at the Swiss-Bellin Airport Hotel on Sunday, 19 November 2023.
Dr. Harmanto, S.Pd., M.Pd., the person in charge of the activity said that the activity was initiated in the framework of UNESA's contribution to the Independent Campus Competition Program (PKKM) from the Ministry of Education and Culture.
It discussed UNESA's focus. in stimulating MBKM activities, one of which has a theme, namely the internationalization of the Independent Learning Campus. Apart from that, it also explains in detail the three activities that support the program.
First, the addition of features in MBKM by allowing supervisors from industry to participate in assessing, because so far the only ones who assess these activities are lecturers assistant from campus.
Then the second is about MBKM quality assurance which involves the Academic Directorate and Quality Assurance Directorate so that the program has clear standards and has its own new server.
Then there is internationalization of the implementation of internships and teaching practices or PLP. It is different from PLP in general, because this time students can teach at international schools in Indonesia and several global companies.
The target of this PKKM, he explained, is how UNESA students can be involved in activities based on internationalization. Especially in this case from an institutional perspective, so that they will have experience working in companies and experience studying at international schools.
"We hope that this program will be able to have a positive influence on PKKM activities in the coming year, especially for all study programs at UNESA so they can join this program," he said. (*)
