Unesa.ac.id., SURABAYA—Surabaya State University (UNESA) through the Directorate of Ranking Innovation and Scientific Publications is holding an International Conference on SDGs for Sustainable Future (ICSSF) 2024 in a hybrid manner at Swiss-Belinn Juanda on Saturday, March 2 2024.
This activity, which is supported by the Equity Program by LPDP (Education Fund Management Institute), carries the theme "Enhancing a Strategic of Environmental Sciences and Renewable Energy for the Future of SDGs in Higher Education".
A number of experts from various countries such as Japan, the United Kingdom (UK), Australia and Malaysia were present as keynote speakers to convey ideas and best practice regarding strategies for realizing SDGs in universities in various countries.
In his remarks, the Vice Chancellor for Research, Community Service, Innovation, Publications and University Rankings, Junaidi Budi Prihanto , S.KM., M.KM., Ph.D., said that this conference is a platform to share experiences, best practices and ideas, strengthen partnerships to jointly realize the sustainability agenda in higher education.
He added, by continuing to strengthen collaboration and collective action, all parties involved can realize impacts and accelerate progress for sustainability and justice in the future.
"We express our thanks and appreciation to all parties, both organizers and participants. , speakers, and so on who have contributed to realizing this activity," said the Surabaya-born lecturer.

He hopes that this conference can strengthen cooperation, there will be many valuable new ideas in generating transformation for a better and more sustainable future for the nation's generations.
"With this activity together "Together we will strengthen our commitment and principles of sustainability to strengthen collaboration on the SDGs," he hoped.
The experts who were keynote speakers at the international conference are as follows. First, Prof. Tony Laughland, Ph.D. Vice Dean (Research) of School of Education, University of New South Wales, Australia who explained about QS Ranking, SDGs and educational equality.

Second, Prof. Hiroki Fujii, Ph.D., Director of Okayama University ESD Promotion Center, Japan discusses sustainability and the future of education from an Asian perspective on changes in the educational climate.
Third, Prof. Dr. Ir. Riri Fitri Sari, M.M., MSc., Chairperson of UI GreenMetric Indonesia conveyed the relationship between UI GreenMetric and Indonesian national standards for resilience and smart cities achieving sustainable development goals.
Fourth, Assoc. Prof. Muhammad Abd Hadi Bunyamin, Ph.D., Universiti Teknologi Malaysia spoke about STEM-based education, projects and industry to achieve sustainable development goals.
Fifth, Dr. Bagus Muljadi, from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom, who conveyed strategies for strengthening Indonesia's human resources, especially in higher education.[]
