For this reason, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (Fisipol) UNESA provided assistance in managing scientific journals involving the Indonesian Association for Public Administration or IAPA on Friday, 26 July 2024.
The FGD was held in the Meeting Room, 2nd floor, Building I8, Fisipol, UNESA Campus 1 Ketintang, on Friday, July 26 2024, the leadership of the State Administration study program from several universities throughout East Java, such as Jember State University, Islamic University of Malang, Dr. Soetomo, and so on.
Representative chairman of Fisipol Week, Moh. Mudzakkir, said that this activity was part of a milestone in the transformation of Fisipol into an internationally competitive faculty.
This activity is a starting point for Fisipol, especially by participating in preparing for the opening of a new master's level study program, namely Masters in State Administration, this year. "The hope is that we can continue to collaborate in the future," he said.
Chairman of the IAPA East Java DPD, Muhammad Nuh, in his speech emphasized the urgency of collaboration between private universities (PTS) and state universities (PTN) in exchanges between journal writer.
"UNESA has the opportunity to regularly hold FGDs, at least once a year to develop strategies for writing and managing journals," he said.

On the other hand, the Kediri-born doctor hopes not only to collaborate in journal management activities , but also in other fields such as student exchange programs. As part of the achievement of the main performance indicators or IKU, this program is considered positive for improving the accreditation of campus study programs.
"Several universities under the auspices of the East Java IAPA DPD can work together reciprocally, depending on the curriculum that applies at the college "high goals," he said.
Furthermore, the dean of Fisipol UNESA together with representatives of the Chair of the DPD IAPA East Java symbolically signed the MoA. The representatives or heads of the State Administration Study Program from various universities also ratified the IA with a stamp.
In the FGD session, the journal manager of the State Administration Study Program Fisipol UNESA, Firre An Suprapto, reviewed their efforts in managing the Publica journal as a forum for students to publish their scientific work. "Hopefully next semester our journal can be indexed by SINTA," he said.

In session In the FGD, the Unesa Fisipol lecturer who is often called Pak Aan explained that in their experience, many students tend to summarize rather than write in depth in their scientific publications, mostly due to a lack of writing skills.

The Chair of the IAPA East Java DPD did not forget to express his hopes for this collaboration. "Don't just stop at signing or agreeing, but future implementation is also important," he advised.
