The leadership of UNESA and Universidade Dili discussed the advantages and potential of cooperation in academic and non-academic fields.

SURABAYA—The leadership of the State University of Surabaya (UNESA) and Universidade Dili (Undil), Timor-Leste held a meeting at the UNESA Rectorate Campus 2 Lidah Wetan, Surabaya on Tuesday, 17 September 2024. The meeting was to discuss aspects of cooperation that could be carried out in the future .
Vice Chancellor IV for Planning, Development, Cooperation and Information and Communication Technology, Martadi said that there were several potential collaborations discussed at the meeting. These include collaboration with lecturers for further studies and lecturer exchanges.
"This guest lecture is expected to facilitate the teaching and learning process without being limited by space and time. Next, work on internships or student exchanges. "Later, students at Universidade Dili, Timor-Leste will be able to study or do internships at UNESA or vice versa," he said.

The various programs launched were welcomed by the leadership or delegation of Universidade Dili. Deputy Chancellor for ASEAN and Far East Cooperation at Universidade Dili, Arif Abdullah Sagram, conveyed the urgency of this collaboration not only for students, but lecturers and universities in general.
“We are interested in this collaboration. "Moreover, our chancellor (Universidade Dili) is the Chair of the Timor-Leste National Commission so he can open up opportunities and accelerate the realization of cooperation with UNESA which of course will be followed up in the form of an MoU at the next opportunity," he said.

"We also want to work together with UNESA to provide opportunities and develop people with disabilities so that can exercise their voting rights in elections. This collaboration proposal received a good response and approval from the council of ministers. "Hopefully this collaboration can be followed up immediately," said the professor at Universidade Dili.
This meeting was attended by the leadership of Universidade Dili's cooperation sector.
