Unesa. ac.id, SURABAYA–Surabaya State University (UNESA) and National University Dasmarinas have collaborated in the field of education. This collaboration commitment was marked by the signing of an MoU at the UNESA Rectorate, Campus 2 Lidah Wetan, Surabaya.
Catherine D. Lagadia, RGC, Executive Director of NU Dasmariñas, expressed her hope that this memorandum of understanding would be signed because innovation is a core value of the times. now so that in the future many collaborations can be held with UNESA.
He hopes that this collaboration can further encourage an improved academic atmosphere that supports strengthening research and innovation as well as providing education at each institution, NU Dasmarinas and at UNESA .
Director of Information Technology, Communication and Cooperation, Prof. Slamet Setiawan, said that NU Dasmarinas has a vision and mission that is in line with UNESA. "Our impression is that this meeting will go well because we have the same vision and mission, as well as several similar programs," he said.
UNESA and National University Dasmarinas discussed the scope cooperation programs and schemes at the Lidah Wetan Campus 2 Rectorate, Surabaya.
He highlights The uniqueness of NU Dasmariñas, which is the first university in the Philippines that was not founded on a religious basis like other universities. "They have a strong vision of nationalism and nation building, with campuses spread across various islands and regions to bring higher education closer to the people," he explained.
During the meeting, the two universities discussed various opportunities for cooperation, including collaborative research, joint publications, and student and staff mobility. Prof. Slamet also revealed that NUD is interested in developing cooperation in other faculties besides the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, which is the starting point for this good relationship.
"Earlier it was also said that next year funds will be allocated for "International School Collaboration between UNESA and NUD. This is a concrete step in strengthening bilateral relations between the two universities," added the UNESA English literature lecturer.
Through the signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), it is hoped that this collaboration can develop. broader, not only within the scope of certain faculties but also covers the entire university. "The hope is that this initiative can be an example for other faculties at UNESA to establish broader international relations," he concluded.[]
