Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA— Every achievement should be appreciated, that's why the leadership and officials of the 'House of Champions' campus held a thanksgiving in the Lidah Wetan Campus II Rectorate Lobby, on Monday, December 18 2023.
This activity is to appreciate new achievements -recently achieved as well as commemorating UNESA's 59th Anniversary. There are several national level awards that UNESA has recently won both institutionally and personally.
Institutionally, for example, the cooperation sector received three medals in the 2023 Diktiristek Cooperation Award (AKD) with details, a gold medal in the subcategory of best cooperation report, a silver medal in the subcategory of cooperation with the government and NGOs best, and a bronze medal in the subcategory of collaboration with the best industry.
Furthermore, the field of public relations and public information won two gold medals in the 2023 Public Relations Diktristek (AHD) Award with details; a gold medal in the Magazine category and a silver medal in the press release category.
Apart from that, for the first time in history, UNESA achieved informative status from the Indonesian Public Information Commission. According to schedule, UNESA will receive this award at the Vice President's Palace on Tuesday, 19 December 2023.
UNESA also received a number of awards from the Ministry of Education and Culture as an HR management work unit in the PTN regional work unit category with 500 employees.
Personally, several lecturers or experts have also made institutions at the national level proud through the achievements they have obtained. Those in question are Prof. Nadi Suprapto, S. Pd., M. Pd., Ph. Pd., received the best award in 1 subcategory of courses with the best online learning design in 2023. Then, Dr. Ir. Asrul Bahar, M.Pd., received the second best award in the blue economy category, TKDN sub-category in the National Priority Award.
Next, Dr. Binar Kurnia Prahani, S.Pd., M.Pd., received an award in the Research, Technology and PKM Award for the outstanding lecturer category (Sinta Award), a subcategory of outstanding lecturers under 40 years of age with the highest Sinta score for the 2020-2022 period.< /p>

For this achievement, the leadership provide appreciation to institutions and individuals who achieve these achievements in the form of coaching and development funds. UNESA Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M.Kes., or who is familiarly called Cak Hasan, expressed his gratitude to all levels for their commitment and hard work in encouraging the transformation of UNESA PTN-BH resulting in many achievements at the national level.
"This year is "We made our debut as PTN-BH and faced other elephant campuses. It turns out, we were able to compete and win many awards and medals," he said in front of the entire UNESA academic community.
Cak Hasan added, this achievement must be a motivation to continue to improve the quality of performance and services in all units, universities to faculties and study programs. Therefore, next year we need to pay close attention to what indicators need to be achieved.
"This is in line with our target of bringing UNESA towards a world class university or WCU. At the national level we have proven that we are able to compete and excel as PTN-BH, "Our target is to raise the level to be recognized internationally," he said.
Cak Hasan also said that in order for all targets to be achieved, qualified human resources are needed and are able to increase competence. Apart from that, there is also a need for a blue print for institutional governance which must be neatly arranged, such as digitalization of science, culture, law, economics, and so on.
Moreover, the revitalization of the internet on campus will continue to be encouraged next year. "We have to change our mindset so that we can run fast and adapt to the times, don't let Unesa be left behind by other campuses that have just debuted PTN-BH," he said. []
