SURABAYA—Surabaya State University (UNESA) has once again demonstrated its commitment to the Pancasila Village Rintrisan Community Service program by holding an activity entitled Healthy Walks and Counseling with the theme "Family Resilience and a Violence-Free Village" in Pancasila Rintisan Village, Widodaren Village, Ngawi on Sunday, 21 July 2024.
This lively activity was attended by dozens of PKK mothers led by Monica Joice Prakasiwi. Apart from that, students who are members of the Anti-Intolerance and Radicalism Community (Kanira) are involved as facilitators in this year's PKM activities.
The event started with a healthy walk around the village, accompanied by an anti-violence campaign. The participants and the surrounding community showed high enthusiasm, with many listening and expressing full support for rejecting all forms of violence.
This campaign succeeded in attracting attention and positive responses from village residents, which emphasized the importance of awareness of the issue of violence. After the healthy walk, the event continued with counseling on family resilience and violence-free villages.
In his speech, the Head of Widodaren Village, Petrus Bagoes Wijayanto, expressed his deepest gratitude to UNESA. He expressed full support for the program which is held regularly in the village, and emphasized the importance of the issues of family resilience and anti-violence today.

"Issues "Family resilience and non-violence are very important nowadays. We ask for UNESA's help to continue to help our village," said Petrus.
The Chair of PKM, Iman Pasu Purba, in his speech emphasized that UNESA has shown a good commitment to Widodaren Village is a pioneering Pancasila Village with various thematic activities every year since 2022.
“This year, the theme of Family Resilience and Non-Violence is being promoted as part of strengthening the values of the Principles of the Almighty God and the Principles of Just Humanity. and civilized," said Iman.
The counseling material presented by Iman Pasu Purba examines the urgency of family resilience and explores the practice of domestic violence as well as legal regulations that can ensnare perpetrators of family violence.
Meanwhile, Putri Aisyiyah, UNESA Communication Science lecturer, specifically explained the reality of violence reported on digital platforms and encouraged participants to be proficient in media literacy.
The enthusiasm of the participants can be seen from their seriousness in listening to each session and their positive response to the themes studied this year. The PKK mothers appeared to actively participate, showing sincerity in studying the material presented.
By the end of this activity, it is hoped that the people of Widodaren Village will become more aware of the importance of family resilience and will continue to strive to create an environment free from violence.
