Unesa.ac.id. SURABAYA--Seven students from the Surabaya State University (UNESA) Vocational Program are ready to undergo international experience through the Summer Course program at Rajamanggala Technology University of Krungthep (RMUTK), Thailand. The students participated in the program for a full month, which was officially released by the Vocational leadership on Saturday, September 23 2024, at the UNESA Vocational Building, Ketintang Campus.
The selected students came from various study programs, namely Muhammad Muktar Aji Praptama and I Dewa Okhan Pradita from D4 Graphic Design, Aulia Fridlaus and Wafa Maulana Wijaya from D4 Civil Engineering, Benedictus Carol from D4 Transportation, Chris Evan Hastia Wahyudi from D4 Catering, and Muhammad Amarul Ihsan from D4 Sports Coaching. They were accompanied by Mochammad Abdul Machfud, D4 Graphic Design lecturer, during the program in Thailand.
In his speech, Deputy Dean 1 of the Vocational Faculty, Reza Rahmadian, advised the students to always maintain the good name of the nation and their alma mater during their stay. abroad. "Because this is in a foreign country, maintain the good name of the country and the UNESA campus, always remember parents, no matter what, we still have family waiting at home," he said.
Similarly, Deputy Dean 2 Vocational Studies, Abdul Hafidz, reminded the importance of collaboration and interaction with international students in Thailand. "Make this opportunity a place to share programs and cross-border collaboration, as well as inspiration for juniors or other fellow students," he added.
During the program, these students not only take 10 credits at the university, but also will learn and understand Thai culture, including language, traditions and daily life of local people. This program aims to develop students' international horizons, improve their academic skills, and prepare them to compete in the global world of work.
This activity is part of the commitment of the UNESA Vocational Faculty to facilitate its students in broadening their international horizons through collaboration with leading universities in the world. The students departed for Thailand on Tuesday, September 24 2024.(*)
