The UNESA Disability Directorate team explained a number of disability innovations and services to two professors from DRTPM.
Unesa. ac.id, SURABAYA–Center of Excellence for Higher Education Science and Technology, Surabaya State University Disability Innovation Center (PUI-PT DIC UNESA) visited the team of the Directorate of Research, Technology and Community Service or DRTPM, Directorate General of Higher Education and Technology on Thursday, July 25 2024.
This visitation is part of the evaluation of the contribution and development of PUI-PT DIC UNESA to support education and services for children with special needs. This assessment was carried out by the DRTPM team, namely Hermin Indah Wahyuni, professor at Gadjah Mada University (UGM), and Maria Inge Lusida, professor at Airlangga University (Unair).
UGM professor, Hermin Indah Wahyuni said that DRTPM as a center of excellence for science and technology, looks at the facilities or readiness of disability research or innovation centers to become centers of excellence for higher education.
The DRTPM team consists of UGM professor, Hermin Indah Wahyuni ( send) and Unair professor Maria Inge Lusida provided a number of strengthening research and innovations in UNESA's disability sector.
Aspects that assessed include infrastructure, services, adaptive technology, and programs that will be designed to improve the quality of education for children with special needs.
The party is committed to continuing to encourage the UNESA disability research team in developing research that brilliant and relevant, and has a positive impact on society, especially people with disabilities.
“Earlier, after seeing the facilities and infrastructure owned by DIC UNESA, we were amazed. Wow, it turns out to be this detailed. Our impression was very good. "Of course we really support the research team to continue to develop themselves through innovations that are currently developing," he said.
The UNESA leadership together with the staff at the Directorate of Disabilities welcomed the arrival of the visitation team to carry out a direct inspection of the facilities at UNESA ULABK (Special Needs Children Services Unit).
"During the visit, the visitation team provided positive comments and constructive recommendations for further research development," said UNESA Director of Disabilities, Wagino.
The DRTPM team together with the leadership of the
Professor in the field of UNESA Inclusion, Budiyanto said, the visitation team acknowledged that PIU-PT OP DIC UNESA had contributed very significantly in providing solutions that support inclusion and educational accessibility as well as highlighting the importance of continuing research and expanding existing programs at ULABK.
He hopes that this visit can become a momentum to strengthen UNESA's efforts in developing and implementing innovations that are beneficial for children with special needs, as well as increasing cooperation with various domestic and foreign partners.
