Unesa.ac.id. , SURABAYA—The Community Service Team (PKM) from the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) Surabaya State University (Unesa) is implementing the Campus Environment Community Partnership Program (PKM-LK) with the Directorate of Law and Management at Unesa to resolve the problem of reducing the volume of archives from archives that have no useful value to be destroyed.
The problem of the directorate in charge of designing the legal order at Unesa is currently the process The destruction of archives is still carried out by shredding or cutting with scissors. This process is considered to require a lot of energy and takes a long time.
Once upon a time when the number of archives which had no use value was so large, the destruction process was carried out by burning which could create new problems, namely environmental pollution, so that the method of destroying archives using the methods mentioned above is considered inappropriate, ineffective and inefficient.
In order to prevent this problem from recurring, the PKM-LK Team designed an environmentally friendly paper chopping machine . With a large capacity and an effective and efficient way of working, this tool can provide added value because the shredded paper is collected in a more compact place and can be recycled back into products of economic value.
With the chopper machine It is hoped that partners can make good use of this paper to destroy archives that no longer have use value appropriately, effectively, efficiently and can recycle paper that has been destroyed into products of economic value.
