Unesa.ac.id. SURABAYA—The Quality Assurance Group (GPM) of the Faculty of Education (FIP) Surabaya State University (UNESA) held training in preparing the Convertible Supplement Instrument (ISK) accreditation form to improve the quality of external quality assurance at the Indonesian Railway Polytechnic (PPI) Madiun.
The training, which is a community service program or PKM, was carried out on June 10 2024, attended by 40 lecturers, who consisting of campus management and the quality assurance team.
The main objective of this activity is to improve the ability of the quality assurance team at PPI Madiun in preparing the ISK accreditation form, a new instrument used to convert BAN-PT accreditation into part of the System Internal Quality Assurance (SPMI) in higher education.
This training involved a number of PKM lecturers or the GPM FIP UNESA team consisting of, Muhammad Nurul Ashar, Shelly Andari, Ricky Setiawan, and Sherrin Nurlita Widya.

Chairman of PKM, Muhammad Nurul Ashar said that the methods used included learning through lectures, workshops and direct practice. The material provided includes risk identification, process mapping, external audits, and continuous improvement strategies.
He hopes that this training can improve participants' abilities in preparing UTI accreditation forms, as well as increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of the internal quality assurance system in PPI Madiun. This is ultimately to support improving the quality of education and institutional services.
Apart from that, this training is also expected to produce evaluation reports that are useful as a basis for preparing policies and long-term strategies for managing quality assurance at PPI Madiun.[ *]
