Unesa.ac.id. SURABAYA–With the theme "Pawana Silenced, Her Whispers Never End", TEDx State University of Surabaya (UNESA) is back and inviting a number of inspiring speakers in a talk show held at the T2 Auditorium of the Faculty of Languages and Arts (FBS), UNESA Lidah Wetan Campus on Saturday, 3 February 2024.
The theme, said Azzahra Aski Azakia as chief executive, was chosen in line with the goals to be achieved, namely as a forum for expressing oneself without fear. This was realized through sub-themes around Art, Sport, Disability, Personal Branding, Self Development, and Edu Content Creator.
As the first speaker, Adam Yudha Perkasa, FBS UNESA students conveyed a lot about art about freedom. This student who is active in the Kediri Student Association (Himawari) gave several tips on how to express yourself and be yourself through art.
In the next session, Lecturer at the Faculty of Sports and Health Sciences (FIKK) UNESA, Awang Firmansyah , S.Or., M.Kes., delivered material regarding exercise habits.
According to him, it is better to make small changes every day than planning to make big changes all at once, but never realizing them. Awang invited participants to start small habits to live a healthier and fitter life.
“Big things can be planned if we pay attention to the small things properly. "Just one percent of the good changes we make every day can be accumulated into something big in the future," he said.
Apart from the two presenters above, this talk show also presented Fira Ayu Putri, an outstanding FBS UNESA student, and Founder of Fira Modeling Disability (FMD) Fashion School Surabaya.

Being a person with a disability, Fira expressed her desire to raise the enthusiasm and self-confidence of other people with disabilities. This was done by taking part in various competitions according to his talents and interests, then he founded FMD which has been established since 2021.
Persons with disabilities, he continued, must have equal opportunities to obtain education, health and decent work . Fira invites people with disabilities out there to continue to believe in themselves and make achievements.
“Limitations are not an obstacle to continuing to move forward in achieving your dreams for the future. Don't underestimate people with disabilities. "Because every difference you have definitely has advantages in it," he explained.
Then there is also Anelies Praramadhani, Corporate Communication Trainer. He shares a lot of self-development tips. According to him, there are four tips for making peace with yourself, including; 1) Forgiveness, 2) Understand our fear, 3) Explore and 4) Let Go.
In the next session, Herma Retno Prabayanti, S.E., M.Med.Kom., UNESA Communication Science Lecturer and Digital Content Creator conveys tips for becoming a content creator.
"In the hands of a creator, stories are not just to be told, but to inspire, educate and change the world," he said.
According to him, when someone wants to start becoming a content creator, the first step they must take is to determine their field. Then, build your identity before conveying your ideas to many people. After that, start creating content.
Herma also conveys technical matters such as tips for creating content, tools to use, and appropriate platforms. According to him, the most important thing is to be consistent. “The key is to be consistent. "Because if we are not consistent, we will not be able to develop," he said.
This talkshow closed with the topic of personal branding Noleh Rinaldi Nur Ibrahim. The CEO and Founder of Youth Ranger Indonesia explained the steps for building personal branding, including; 1) Get to know yourself, 2) Accept your situation, 3) Clarify your focus, 4) Create achievement targets and 5) Be consistent.[]
