UNESA DWP board members take a group photo on the sidelines of Tausiah Ramadan activities at the Rectorate
Unesa.ac.id SURABAYA—The big family of the Dharma WanitaSatu (DWP) Surabaya State University (UNESA) held Tausiah Ramadan with the theme " Achieving the Blessings of Ramadan with Family" in the Meeting Room on the 10th Floor of the Rectorate, Campus 2 Lidah Wetan on Wednesday, March 20 2024.
This warm activity begins with the reciting of the holy verses of the Koran which are serene, followed by the playing of songs nationality Indonesia Raya and Mars DWP. National and religious enthusiasm also enlivened the room.
A warm welcome was also conveyed by the Chair of the UNESA DWP, Dra. Endah Purnomowati Nurhasan, M.Pd. and Chair of DWP FMIPA UNESA, Dyah Kurniawati, S.Pd. In his speech, the Chair of the UNESA DWP said that this activity was one way to fill the holy month of Ramadan.
The aim is to strengthen the sense of family for the entire extended family DWP and strengthen the motivation to share and do good in the month of fasting. "Hopefully what we are doing will add value to ourselves personally, as companions to our husbands and as part of UNESA," he said.
This religious sermon was delivered by Prof. Dr. Mutimmatul Faidah, S.Ag., M.Ag. or more familiarly known as Prof. Mutim. In his lecture, Prof. Mutim explained how to achieve the blessings of Ramadan as a family by carrying out worship together, such as preparing iftar together, sahur together, maghrib prayers together, tarawih prayers together, praying for forgiveness together and so on.

He emphasized the role of mothers in educating children, citing the saying that " Mother is the first school for her child." He also provided insight into the dynamics of husband-wife relationships during Ramadan, highlighted how to resolve conflicts within the family during the fasting month, and reviewed the main practices that can be done with the family during Ramadan.
Apart from tausiah, DWP also presented The social care side includes charity activities for orphans, fostering a sense of empathy and concern for others. Then, amidst the solemn atmosphere, the invited guests also contributed warmth by singing the Prophet's prayers together.
