Lecturer, and Director of Arts and Culture, Trisakti said that the Citrolangenan Dance is a mask drama based on the story of Patah Kuda Narawangsa in the Jatiduwur Jombang Mask Wayang performance.
This dance, choreographed by Setyo Yanuartuti, depicts the journey of Dewi Sekartaji's disguise and struggle through the name Citrolangenan, in an effort to find the Panji Inukertopati.
Aspects of nervousness, sadness, turmoil and struggle in the story are the basis for the development of the dynamics of this dance. "This dance was created with a local aesthetic approach to the Jombangan Mask dance with a touch of contemporary techniques," he explained.
