Socialization of the UNESA MBKM program
Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA—Subdirectorate of Student Exchange and Academic Mobility, Surabaya State University (UNESA) held a socialization on Independent Learning Campus Independence (MBKM) within the scope of Introduction to School Fields ( PLP) and Teaching Assistance 2024/2025 online on Monday, July 1 2024. The socialization was presented by the Head of the PLP and Teaching Assistance Section, Rusly Hidayah, S.Si., M.Pd.
According to Minister of Research regulations , Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia Number 55 of 207, PLP is a mandatory MBKM program for undergraduate students in educational study programs which are taken for 1 semester or the equivalent of 20 credits.
PLP is a process of observation, observing and handling carried out by undergraduate education students to study aspects of learning and educational management in educational units.
PLP is an important stage in the process of preparing professional teachers. The output of this activity includes students being able to implement learning outcomes that have been taken during lecture material on campus, developing learning tools, and practicing guided teaching and learning in schools.
During PLP activities, students are expected to have personality stability as prospective teachers, counselors, facilitators with various learning experiences that enable sustainable professional development to be developed and can be applied concretely in terms of, first, creative and innovative curriculum development and learning in the field of study.
Second, planning learning. Third, implementation of learning, fourth, assessment of learning processes and outcomes, fifth, implementation of character strengthening education in the form of school literacy programs, sixth, development of students' social and personality competencies.
Next, you must take part in activities at school Monday-Friday and follow school policies. If there are extracurricular activities at school, you can contribute there. Meeting teachers who have been teaching for a long time, you can practice teaching directly to students.
"Hopefully fellow students who are PLP in semester 7 will have useful experiences while at school. PLP at Cikal School and Nation Star Academy have received the names of the selected students. "Especially for 7th semester students, you have to focus because you will be at school," he said.
PLP is actually the same as an internship activity. However, internship activities are intended for non-education study program students, while PLP is an activity intended for education students.
Students will get a tutor or teacher who accompanies a group of students during activities at school. Before August 15 2024, students will be at school.
Students can contribute and collaborate with school leaders, teachers and students. You can embrace and be a role model while at school. Later you will also do your thesis and ultimately collect data at school. Make the best use of 1 semester at school.
During their time at school, students are expected to participate in or contribute to curriculum development, study fields of study, personality stability, become facilitators, share learning experiences with students, and participate fully in school activities.
"In contrast to teaching campuses, yesterday's teaching campuses only handled literacy and numeracy issues. "Students are not involved much in the teaching and learning process," he said.
Studying on AKM and numeracy literacy and not in accordance with their respective subjects. For example, students with a bachelor's degree in economic education but focusing on numeracy literacy at the elementary school or junior high school (SMP) level. "Well, that's very different.
However, during PLP, students are placed according to their field of study. as a prospective economic education teacher who is placed in a junior high school.[*]
